A couple of weeks ago, on a Saturday night, the wife and I took my 72 F100 to Sonic for a shake. While we were there, the lowrider crowd arrived.
1. Ch$vy dually LOWERED. What is the point in that??
2. Ch$vy 1/2 ton with Escalade front clip grafted on, LOWERED.
3. Ni$$an lowered w/ hydraulics.
4. Ranger lowered with the lowest profile tires I've ever seen. Tires were about the thicknes of a roll of masking tape. And they were riding on rims that had to run at least $250 a piece. I would want a little more protection for such and investment.
Only one of the trucks had a complete paint job. We heard them coming by the scraping of the front plastic air dam on the road and the grinding of the frame on Number 3 and 1 on the parking lot of the Sonic. Once parked, Number 3 thought it would be cute to pound the frame of his truck (and I use the term loosely) on the concrete parking lot. What an idiot.
The teenage waitress brought us our shakes and said, "Let me tell you, you have the best looking truck in this place !!!!" It's good to know all of America's youth hasn't gone completely down the toilet !!!!
Hopefully some of these brainchilds will grow out of this phase. Unfortunately some probably wont. I have had thoughts of lowering my ranger. But this isn't for hydraulics or airbags or any of that garbage. I am tailking pro street that can't be beat!
People who say it can't be done should not interrupt the person doing it.
Ken. How'd this get here? It belongs to another thread.
Not to mention that Honda is probably 500-700 lbs lighter than you...
Not to mention the fact that some of them little Hondas are putting out as much as 700hp. Found that out on some site the other day.

"There's a little red button there,kid...don't ever, ever touch the red button!"
DOes that say 400SS? That's got to be the dumbest thing yet! Doesn't the moron know that the 400 is just a small block? And that real power comes in the form of a big block?
Then again, maybe he's just a blockhead! Oh well, you can't give him any points for intelligence! 1) it's a chevy 2) it's got one of those moron-wings 3) what idiot would proclaim that he's got a 400 SS?
Now a real truck would have on it's flanks 460 SS, or even better 512 SS! But then again, that's only intelligent!
Never mind on the last question, the guy doesn't even have to answer it. He answers it everytime gets behind the wheel!
1988 F-150, SWB, 5.0 EFI (formerly 4.9 EFI), M5OD 5 speed, 3.08 gears, Summit shorty truck headers, Custom built Flowmaster exhaust system. Force 4 LP6000 lightbar, Federal signal PA-300 100 watt siren, Icom IC-V100 50 watt mobile radio.

1965 F-100 (just purchased 1/18/01), SWB, 390, C-6 auto. Dual exhaust, Not much else to do to it.
Another stupid mod that I have been seeing pop up a lot lately are those "stick on" fake ram air scoops from lund. So many people out to make themselves look silly.

i would have to agree with what just about every one has said lowered trucks are by far the ugliest, and yes i would also like to test the flex of my truck on them.
I think the stupidest mode I've seen is when people put those P.O.S. 350 sb chevy motor in or fords. By the way some lowered trucks (mine soon to be for example) are not that bad. It will have a 2/4 inch drop putting the tires(stock size) just above he fenders. And I have seen trucks the same year with the same drop and they look pretty good. And they don't have to worry about speed bumps or things like that. Oh I've have found a GT 500 hood for my truck, do you guys think it would look good, what other things do you guys think would look good on a 82 food F-150 flareside?
I've gotta agree that the stupidest mod is the addition of a Chevy in a Ford...everybody says small block fords don't fit in early Fords...they just aren't trying. I've had a 302 in my '46 and will be putting another in at the end of this year. Gotta wait until I get the dropped springs and disc brakes and needle bearing kingpins, then I'll drop in the 302

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 10-Feb-02 AT 11:49 PM (EST)]One another thing...on the import cars, the big giant billboard graphics on the hood that either don't look like anything, or say HONDA in 2 ft high letters. I especially love the interiors that are painted totally yellow and have the neon lighted gear shift **** to match the neon license plate frame, that's just wrong! :-X23
