for clarification:
You stated that you read 3 pages of a 9 page thread and then assumed I was wrong. You got a general idea of the thread and then posted as if you read all of it. Nothing against you but that is the true definition of generalization I'm going for.
but anyways... belive it or not, I'm really not here to argue, I made a point, you are free to disagree, but in the end we both need to get over ourselves and move on, and we should do it right about.... NOW!

Moving on. How much of a chop was made in your chevy? How difficult was it? I think if you chop the top on the long bed it may look out of proportion.
i really ain't much of a chevy guy , but i have always liked the 67-72's as they look good drubber . we had one guy running around here with a chop top 71 long bed for years then it dissappeared . right now i know where there's a 1 owner 70 or 71 long bed cheyenne half ton , dark green with all the original parts and trim , very little rust , and best of all it's a factory big block auto ...... a 402 and turbo 4oo . i'm still trying to figure out what body part to sell , or how to convince the other half i need another vehicle sitting around ........ they only want $3,500 for it , a steal to me . and yep i regularly bash " tuners " as they remind me of the pro street fad of so long ago , and i dont care for furrin' cars of asian decent , and i regularly bash chevy's despite having owned and modified many as they aren't my preference . i get grief from others on my choices and just roll with it with a laugh and a smile . were all different , opinionated , and it makes it interesting . give it a chance here you'll like it .
@first today
7" on the front side of the cab and 5" in the back of the cab. i actually bought the truck with the "chop" work done but it was a real hack job and my father and i had to go back and redo it, the right way. chop jobs aren't difficult if you have patience to measure 20 times over or if you have a killer eye ball to make it all look smooth and straight. mostly it's just a matter of several boxes of sandpaper along with a summers worth of free time.
@55 f350
that truck in the picture is a 69, but i prefer the sloped front fenders and hood the 67-68's had. Long beds with a 1"-2" chop look amazing to me. but like i said, this truck is too clean to start cutting for a measly 1-2 inch style que.
Brand loyalty is fine... but I expect a good reason for it. people are gonna be low-watt gurglers everywhere, it's not their cars fault, it's not the manufacturer's fault, I don't get why people blame them... hell Ford is number one in the WRC (world rally championship), that's a huge slap in the face for most these forgien companies... but nope, lets talk about that coffee can that one guy put on his honda... know what i mean?
@fonefiddy
"YOU'RE"right, I've bought three F-150's in my lifetime and will only lease F-150's for my shop trucks. I am the demographic.... and guess what? I'd rather drive my Subaru over anything Ford has to offer... so tell me why are so many on here anti-rice? i didn't realize honda made their owners sign a manditory fart can form when they sold the cars.... the answer for stupid people isn't more stupid...
To me it is not rice until you you add a wing, coffee can, weenie tires and some stickers. Until then, it is just a well made imported (or domestically manufactured) foreign auto.
unless of coarse i am busting one of the local kids chops about their cars.
and then i will usually get someone to point me out to the owner as i get to the gas fill area, and make believe i am pouring uncle bens converted rice in the tank.
these are the cars all the "ricers" are trying to emulate... not really a horrible endevour in my opinion, maybe some of you old guys could help these kids figure out what they lost in the translation.
My apologies to the original thread. This has gotten way off topic and should be opened in another thread. Maybe a moderator could move or delete the last couple of pages.
taste and a purpose as to what they are building . they are cartoons of what they emulate . i love watching the rally's . i thought we had some extreme driving sports sheeezzz! i wanna try once !!!!

Mustang Cobra version with a wing is not getting it right. No wonder the rice boys are not getting it right either.

Not a chance. Hey, I just found this thread and am having fun. Why do you want to spoil it? Besides, this thread is 8 years old. It has taken on a life of it's own. Not exactly living, but undead. It has lurched out of the grave and become zombie.
