Sorry to hear that Don, same here. Our son came through for us and procured two 20 ft. ship containers to put our "STUFF" in. At least we can save and protect our belongings. This being a college town, rents are high as are deposits even with good references. Totaly prohibitive, 1600.00 to 2000.00 just to move in, without the cost of the actual move. That's more than the gross household monthly income. I'm lucky that I have a place that I keep my auto stuff that is seperate and I don't have to move it. I wish you had that also. It would ease things a bit for you. Hey! Take a lesson from the old bawg wan and get the ford followers together and set up a compound. If we all put in, we should be able to do alright. Being into fords is a religion right? Keep your chin up... gives the bad guys something to aim at. Jeff
Yes it is. Friends are where it's at and what it's all about. Other than the ravings of a lunatic, what did you think of my idea about the compound? In your area? Just imagine, fords as far as the eye can see. Gotta chuckle at things or the bad guys win. Jeff
mornin' guys,
not a bad idea jeff. you want to see a bunch of fords talk to randy over in the NE chapter. he runs an all ford salvage yard.
i did get that app in at gresham transfer. as a lube tech/mechanic. and my degree/certifications and whatnot.
[quote=Brown Falcon;9106865]I'm still active duty at the moment. Waiting for a med board, won't know how much disability I'll get till after all that is over.
Man, that can be a long process. Hopefully the USMC is better that the Army. Been in my MEB process for 1 1/2 years now. Best of luck.

And back injuries suck A$$
I know what you mean. I know guys who have been waiting for over a year past their EAS and are still on Med Hold.
They said it could happen as fast as 3 months, but most likely longer. I won't complain as long as they keep paying me. I can still do most of my job here in the states. Just can't deploy and can't do the regular PT or anything high impact. I wouldn't mind keeping my house a while longer and see if the market recovers before selling it.
