Morning all. Wow, no one on all weekend. I know all very busy and much going on, but that was just scary. I was all alone and got afraid. Hopr all were/are safe and well. Jeff
Worked HARD all weekend. Finished up the 300-6 and got it painted and ready to install. Just waiting on the manifold and carb to show up so I can install the engine. Only one weekend left to work on it till I start 70+ hour weeks............Thank God this is my last harvest, just too damn old to work this hard anymore.......
Bright side is project is soon to be drivable. New shop will be huge, etc. I know it sounds silly, but with all of todays problems, I think one has to focus on the steps forward. No matter how small. That's about all that gets me by any more. Jeff

My Low Pressure Oil Pump went south on my '95 Powerstroke... had it at the shop for over a week and they havn't fixed it yet. I usually fix my truck myself, but this job is just a little too much for me. Plus not much time between active duty military work and a new baby at home...
yeah those pumps aren't that bad. time consuming but not bad.
rear diffs aren't bad just make sure you get your ring and pinion clearences right.
my sun tach took a crap so i pulled it out. so i shift by the speedometer. my rig is chipped at 5500 rpm. the MSD box overrides the ecm. if i pull the chip out then the ecm kicks back in and you can wind it up to 6200 rpm. then the factory rev limiter kicks in.
trust me i've hit it a few times.
