Thanks guys, I will probably start a thread, but it has a 351, plugs and wires replaced in June or July, carb rebuilt not too long after that. It has blow by, so I am scared it might be rings.

So we can talk about anything on this thread? Does anyone else have problems with new parts? For about the last year I'm having to replace brand new parts 3-5 times before I find one that works and then it fails after about 6 months. And these are name brand parts not cheapy china knockoffs, for example a moog tie rod end that strips when I tighten it by hand. Just curious if I'm really unlucky or if maybe parts manufacturers are trying to get a profit by selling more of something crappy.

Yep, talk about what ever.

One of my favorite sayings about parts, New don't mean good......
I started using it when I was selling parts. People would buy something, and then come back looking for other answers. Sometimes the "New" part wasn't any better than their old one. That was 25+ years ago, and things haven't got any better.
