This mod is plug and play but on the dent sides there were two connectors (medium and small) that fit closely into the same pattern that the one large connector from the bull nose harness.
I think what 'bullitt 390' is saying is the small two wire connector needs to have the wires reversed. I will post a response to find out but on the harness I obtained from an 89 Bronco, the two wire female connector (from my truck) only had one of the two male connectors (from the new harness) present; it appeared to be an empty spot rather than being broke.
I won't really be able to test anything until I get the washer tank/pump installed.
Thanks for the link. It kinda sounds to me as if bullitt is saying the washer bottle connector *might* need to be reversed. I asked for a clarification.
Im kinda at a loss here with my wipers...My 84 F250 XL has factory intermmitent...When I was first looking at her, the wipers would randomly quit...and it only had high...seemed like a ground issue with the random stopping. I had a shop go over the whole truck beofre i bought it. They said it was a ground issue but the motor itself was the reason i only had high. Ive replaced the delay box from a 91 f150 from a JY and installed a new wiper switch just to make sure. And I still have the same issue. Only high speed and will stop right where you turn it off. Instead of finishing the cylce. My 88 Bronco it was just the motor itself that was bad. I dont want to be just changing parts until i find it lol. Thanks everyone
I know this thread is super super old but I'm having this exact same issue. Did you ever get it fixed?
IIRC the stopping where it is at when you turn them off is the auto return and I believe that is in the wiper motor part.
When running power goes thru a wire. Then another wire to power it for the auto return and a ground.
So when you take power away from the run, the auto return wire supplies power to the motor so it can park the blades at the bottom.
There is a cam & contacts that make this all work as it should.
I don't know if you can take this apart to check & clean or not?
Now if they just stop working it could be anything from a bad fuse, bad switch, bad delay box, to the motor.
You need to do some testing to see if the motor is getting power when they stop and if so then I would say bad motor.
Other wise you need to start back from there to see where the issue lays.
Good luck

I think I ebayed a complete set for like $50 out of a 91.
I also bought a brand new switch. Even if they ended up not plug and play the internal wiring is the same, I would whack off the connector and solder the wires to the switch.
On the top is my new wiper module from WEV/NGK that I already had, the one with silver sharpie is the junk yard pull.
