I think they call that a gut feeling.

Yep that would be a gut feeling for sure. Ok well my next choice would probably be some flowmaster hiperf mufflers. You dont want glasspacks IMO. You need a good race muffler.

My vote is still for the magnaflows... a nice 3'' dual exhaust system with some 3'' magnaflows, nothing beats the sound if you ask me.

3" might be to big gassers need some restriction. and travis you got a 460 in that thing, if not you need one.

exhaust plans are this, obviously i got shorty headers(had to go this route with the heads b/c long tubes get in the way of the spark plugs for some reason), 2.5" true duals possibly with magnaflow high flow cats(for inspection purposes and they are basically straight thru), and the mufflers, then either dump them after the mufflers or run it back with 45's and 3" echo tips at the bed corners.

Like said above, the gasser needs a little restriction. I almost wish it was a 460. i know where there is a 429, but i think i would do very bad things if i put a 429 in this truck. the 429 i'm talking about is in a 74 ford F350 dually work truck w/ a 4 speed and when it ran and you floored it you'd end up on the side of the road with a driveshaft twisted in 2 pieces.

ya, you and me both brother. after thousands of dollars down the drain and still haven't gotten it wired in kinda hurts. i know i got over $5k sitting in that pretty little blue engine y'all see, but i refuse to look at the recepts and actually see the exact number. i already know i will smack my head on the wall if i see it. haha. still need to find a solution for hooking up the throttle cable, distributor, fuel crossover line, replace the gas tank and fuel filter, all accessories(powersteering, A/C compressor, idlers, alternator, and get the mass air flow wired up with the mustang A9L computer to run things. then comes the fun of firing it the first time. Once it fires and i get it running pretty good i will focus on exhaust, 6" lift, ball joints, tie rods/ends, axle pivot bushings, etc. dang that sounds like a lot of money already still left to drop on it!!! think i'm going to short myself the lift for a little while and fix the front end and drive it for a bit to get the bugs worked out. then as money allows the lift will come.
