haha ya i obviously haven't read into it that much but i will be doing that pretty soon. Is triple cryoing just doing the same process three times to make them as strong as possible or does it have some hidden meaning? The only reason i liked that outlaw diesel site is becuase they had a price sheet on there site. I don't like calling a place up just for information, I feel like im wasting someones time haha so I like to do as much research on my own and then when the time comes to purchase something make the phone call and ask the few remaining question i may have. Where is 300 below located out of?
basically i think it's "deep" cryogenically treating. whatever they call it they are patented and all. they are in Decatur, IL i believe. they had a diesel tractor pulling guy that was losing 2 quarts of oil in one pull from the blow by, cryo'd a bunch of parts in the engine and now he loses more like 2 ounces of oil through the blow by. they even like to do things like valves, valve guides, heads, etc. keeps heads from warping, allows valves to move smoother, etc... i like 'em.

Wow that is one heck of a difference. And IL isn't much further than that other place, I think TX but not positive, so I mide as well stick with the tride and proven route. This might work out perfectly with my plans for my spring time motor pull, might just have to extend the pull a little while and have some stuff cryo'd. Now when you said to get some refurbished rods what did you mean by that? Something different than the ones that are in my motor or basically the same ones just get another set so i can just swap them?

ya just another set to swap out. don't get some that are crazy used. most ppl are getting new stock rods to get cryo'd so that the metal shouldn't have been weakened from stress over time. just a thought though. i got some SD rods in my tool box that i might use, but it looks like that engine had spun a bearing on all these rods. oh and an SD cam for a regrind. LoL
So just fined some low milage rods and use them right. And for the cam, do any of the big diesel companies regrind cams or am I kinda on my own and have to find a local shop to do it?

William when did you start a big diesel company?!?!?! Damn and all these years I've been sending my money to these people I've never talked to, when I could have been helping you buy a stroker during those years you had to go without..... Sorry man lol.

All these guys, clay, ed, diesel performance, php, tw, they all buy from me man.
Only problem is, I charge them what i pay for it pluss shipping, so i never make any money.
I bought several fuel filters a while back and used the last one yesterday. Anyhow when did they start selling filters attached to a new head bowl? I bought two of them and they were 19.99 each; manufactured by Luber-finer FF830 L495F Champion Labritories Inc. http://www.luberfiner.com/

mine came with a new head attached to it.
My old one was the old clip style. this one one, i could take off the filter and reclip on a new one, but it came already snapped in.

if you got $400 then just by some reconditioned ones then send 'em off. i'm thinking about doing that and junking these since they appear to have spun the bearings on every one of them.. check this out... OEM 7.3l Forged Connecting Rods Forged Rods - Powerstroke Nation

keep your original fuel bowl lid and go back to getting motorcraft filters. the luber finer, purolator, whatever else there is all have the top with the filter and aren't as good as the OEM filter. motorcraft is the best filter you can get for your factory bowl. my truck never saw anything but motorcraft fuel and oil filters til i got the CPR fuel system. i still won't use anything but motorcraft on my oil filter... just me tho i guess.
