I wish I could have worked on my truck today, but I was putting in baseboard and doing house stuff. On the bright side, I might have found an almost new Edelbrock 1406 for close to nothing. My carb is still acting up a little, the only downfall is that I need a carb to replace the Edelbrock one, and I am scared to use mine since I am not sure the Edelbrock one is smog legal.
Does it matter if it is smog legal? Are they going to check it?
The power windows on our Cherokee didn't work for months, but then just this month they started working. We don't touch 'em though, since if they roll down and won't roll back up, we're up a creek if it rains. lol
My truck's got good ol' manual windows, but the window crank shaft on the passenger side is all chewed up from years of use, so I gotta eventually get another regulator assembly and swap it in. I still have the use of the driver side window and both vent windows though.
Whoever decided vent windows should not be an option anymore is an egghead, and I will tell them so if given the chance.
EDIT: My truck's carb is acting up a LOT. It'll hold an idle okay, but try to drive it in gear, I've got a fight on my hands. I'm wondering if the float's not stuck or something.
I am in California, they will probably check my paint to make sure there is no lead in it and then they will check the bean content of my burrito to make sure I am in compliance.
did your windows just suddenly quit, or did they start moanin and groanin? i got one that works, but is starting to complain
passenger side window didn't work when i got it so i figured i would atleast find out why.test light said i had power to the switch but barely any coming out.cleaned the switch and it started working.
I remember reading a while back about a relay trick which only used the power window switch to control the relay. People swore by it and said their windows performed better than new.
