yep, the ZF 5.
They made at least 6 variants.
420 4x4
420 2x4
460 2x4
460 4x4
300,302, 351 4x4
300,302,351 4x2

Is your truck 2wd or 4wd?

You can use a 4x4 tranny on a 2x4, but you cant use a 2wd on a 4x4.

you are close to Waco right?
I saw one in Belton the other day.

I need to go back this week and can check for you.

What axle? I know a 300 can, not sure about a 302.
I do not know much about that motor.

God, I would love to do that swap, I love shifting my own gears...especially in a truck! The price is the thing that is keeping it out of my reach.

You can do a T19/T18 swap cheaper, but I think for all the work the ZF is worth the money.

I know, even the T-19 would give me better mileage, I can not seem to find any ZF's in any of the yards. I really have no reason to switch, as the C6 runs well. Besides, I made up for having an automatic, as my GMC has two sticks!

I read that one before, and was drooling. Ironically, I had an NP435 and np208 sitting in my house for a while. They were going to go into my Jeep, but I sold it and so I sold the trans before I got my Ford. I am sure kicking myself now.

you could put a shift kit in the c6. shifts would be crisper, and you might save a little mpg

Automatics are scary to me.....I can rebuild a T-18/T-19 or NP435 with no problems, but once you get into automatic territory, I am lost.

Besides, I just got my back up lights working on my C6 - maybe I should hold off on the swap.......these have eluded me for 3 or 4 months now.

Yea, but the project isn't going to be at least next year sometime. I don't have the money for it right now, plus it's gotta stay an automatic til we can get another vehicle, otherwise my mom can't drive it, since she doesn't know how to drive a standard.

I can't afford it (at all, lol), but if you're in that area, it'd be nice to know. I appreciate it

Right now it has the 302\C6 combo, with the 9" axle out back. I have no clue what gears are in the rear.

Oh and hopefully in the near future, I can finally get the front end taken care of on my truck. I'm planning on new bushings everywhere, so when it's done it should handle like a new truck....lol

yes
drivers side caliper had a leak from the brake line connecting thingy.
The washer must have been in too poor of condition, so I just replaced it. now it needs to be bled again.
