Running, Heater worked, brakes were ok, tires were ok, Radio has a small memory problem. Aside from a small exhaust leak, and the brake problem, which turned into a real big problem, there was not a single mechanical problem with the truck.
Then it was worth well over $1000.
Mine had a list of things wrong and it was still a steal at $750, you are really lucky to get yours for that. If you sell it, you should ask $1800.

With the work i've put into it, there is no way I would ask for anything less.
Lots of new goodies, improved goodies, and of course, fully functional Tommy Gate!

I changed a flat tube on one of my BMX bikes this evening. I put this stuff my uncle gave me called Break-Free, which I think is used for boring out engine cylinders, all up in the sprocket/freewheel on the back wheel (note that the wheels on this quite-new bike are off an older bike that sat in a garage for a number of years). I did this all so I could run up to the store, so once I finished up I headed to the store.
The difference was like night and day! The sprocket used to be very loud and rough, which I felt through the chain and pedals, but this Break-Free stuff made it quieter than a new bike, and smooth as silk. A major improvement!
The Break-Free stuff works like a oil and grease in one. It goes on as a liquid, but over time it becomes like grease. My uncle uses it for all kinds of jobs when he's working on stuff, and I used some of what he gave me when I was doing the steering box replacement in July.

I'm tired of fixing double posts. It takes too much time to correct them, So I leave them there in case Someone mis-reads what I wrote. (this way they have to look at it twice before scrolling past it :P )
I'll ask my uncle about it, but last time he and I talked about it, he told me that the company that used to make it stopped making it.
Tell him to post a video then. Show his truck pulling X amount of weight, and take the thing to a truck scale. Then tell him you'll do the same. I bet that'll shut him up, since I doubt he wants to do that. lol. BTW where's that topic at? I can't seem to find it.
If it is the same stuff, it is used for cleaning guns. You can get it at a gun store. It is great, as it removes the gunk/carbon/powder, and still lubes it at once.
Huh, I had no idea they were the same thing. Does that kind separate into a yellowish liquid on top and a brown liquid on the bottom if you let it sit? What I have does that, and shaking the bottle it's in mixes it together.
It is definitely great stuff. I rode my bike a little today and that sprocket was super smooth. All you hear is my tires on the street now, as opposed to that nasty grinding noise it made before. :P
