Exactly, there was a while where the cars were getting rearended and catching on fire because the gas tank got punctured. They came up with an idea to put in a bladder into the tanks. I hated sitting on the side of the road in one, kept one eye on the rear view.

I had read up on some of the problems with them, before getting my f250 i wanted a 98+ crown vic

And are you talking about the Carbon Motors E7?
from what I have read and seen, it is a beast. no way around it.
I believe that police officers SHOULD have a car that the general public can not get. It just makes more sense to me.
