i think its ok....not the best, not the worst
i havent towed anything yet but it think it will be fine for most stuff
that an f150 would be used for...
ive got the 4sp m19 tranny with granny 1st gear and 4x4.
and i think it would pull well i dont know about an automatic.
what are you lookin to do with it ?

i wuz just askin. i noticed a couple o you guyz had em, and wondered. your answer sounds about what i had thot. i got a I6. havent towed or loaded her down, yet but i know from past experience that they r torquey. the old(previous) truck had 351 HO, which i thot would be cool to rebuild, but i had to keep gas mileage in mind. i had a 400M that would pull a house down, but got 8.5 mpg.

since im replacing almost everthing on this truck..(did you see my new thread today?)
that i want to put in the 300-6 or rip out the fi and put a carb on it (302)
theres so many sensors on this thing!
i want it as simple as possible including going to points and a mech fuel pump...
i like the 300 as you can simply reach out and touch the parts, they run forever (im not buying a new truck probably ever again ) and the t19 4sp and gears on the 4x4 really hold back the 302 which is more like a car engine.

im sick of allways hearing its got to be fair and balanced...
if i believe i god (i do too ) im suppossed to give equal time to the devil too ? an extreme example but a valid one .
esp with the crazy enviro laws etc.
either stand up for what you believe and only that or i guess you dont believe it at all.
