Actually I did search for a long time. Turned out the vas majority of people doing aim beams were amateurs. The djm beams jig is who's messed up. Their beams aren't a true 3" where as aim are 3.5". I did aim beams on my 70 and have absolutely no issues. I saw most had problems with king pins fitting but I didn't waste money on another set of king pins and used the ones supplied by aim and fitment was perfect.

Installing beams isn't rocket science.
Consider yourself lucky with your AIM beams. Recent posts in here and Fordification, AIM/airbagit.com typically sucks monkey nuts in terms of quality control and customer service.
Like I have stated in other threads, AIM must have changed something along the line in their development of their kits since everyone seems to be having trouble with AIM as of late. I bought the entire kit from AIM back in 2004 and had zero problems ever since it was installed......and I still have the truck to prove it.
Williamwilliam you stated earlier in the post that your AIM drop was a 4-5, I looked allover and I can only find a 3-4 drop. Where can I find the 4-5 drop?
FILTHY what was your suspension drop? Was it the AIM 3/4 kit?
The dropped beams from either company will only give you a 3 inch drop in the front. IMO, don't waste your time and $; do a crown vic swap with just a little more effort.
Hello all .. I'm new to this and this was some great reading. But I got a question
Can you use the lowering I beams, cut the coil and bend the new I beams to fix the camber? To get a little more drop in the front.

Dream Beams are square tubing. I wouldn't bend them.

Hi Mark! Welcome to FTE! I agree with Instigtr63. DJM says not to try to bend them. I've heard of people cutting 1 to 2 coils off the springs without affect the camber much but I think that would depend on the condition of your springs. If you already have the beams installed, check your current camber to get an idea of how much you can cut the springs if any.
Oh ok. Trying to decide which way to lower the truck.
Got it a week ago.
Easiest: DJM lowering beams and: DJM spring hangers & shackles; Or a rear hanger flip with a couple of leaves removed; Or, Airbagit axle flip or Fatman Fabrications axle flip. C-notch highly advised.
Medium "Difficulty": Front - CV subframe swap for the front. Rear - One of the methods stated above for the rear or an MN12 (Cougar/T-bird) IRS subframe swap.
Very Involved: Mustang II-style IFS for the front (Heidt's, Fatman Fab, etc.) and a three-link, four-link, or ladder bar rear suspension conversion.
