Surely I would think by now that AIM has fixed whatever problem they had. If they have had all the complaints and such as posted by people in this forum, then I just don't see how they can keep selling the same product and not think they will get a complaint. That makes absolutely no sense to me.
Yes, please report back in this thread and let us know how it turns out. I think if you get the right parts for your truck, you will be ok. There are differences between power steering and manual steering and also the leaf spring setup on certain trucks. Just make sure you get the right parts. Hell, I would drive my truck there and have them look at it and give you the right parts.
You could probably cut a very small amount of the coil springs for some extra drop maybe 1/4-1/2 a coil? but with these suspensions they don't have much give room as far as camber tolerance specs.
Mark, I cut 1/2 coil with my DJM beams and it seems to be fine. I suppose it depends on how worn your coils are and what engine you're running. This pic is with a fuel injected 5.0/AOD
As for checking the pinion angle, Tremec has a "Driveline Angel Finder" app for your phone. I've downloaded it but haven't used it yet.
Ok Sorry for the delay lol. So do y'all have any camber issues
And 37 ford guy what did you do to get the rear down?
I used the DJM rear lowering kit that replaces the front spring mounts and rear shackles. I also bought their shorter rear shocks. With their kit you have a couple of different height choices.
Hello all .. I'm new to this and this was some great reading. But I got a question
Can you use the lowering I beams, cut the coil and bend the new I beams to fix the camber? To get a little more drop in the front.
Drop beams can't be bent. Camber adjustment is accomplished by either shimming or cutting the coil springs.
I am very new to this site. I have a few questions. First of all, I have a 71 F250 2WD. I am not interested in converting to a F100 suspension, just wanted to get that out of the way. My plan for this truck is unique. I am going to remove the overloads, and axle flip the rear with a large C-notch(and possible shackle flip/lowering shackle). I want the rear to be as low as i can get it, while still using the factory leaf springs, as I still haul occasionally.
I will be installing Chassis Tech drop beams and bagging the front. This will allow me to get her low but still be able to raise it and drive, as well as adjusting camber.
My question is has anybody used the bag brackets Airbag.com supplies for dropped i beams?
Sorry Im no help, but wanted to mention that I would like to see your truck progress once you go through with your plan. Good luck on your project sir.

You got it. I sold my bagged 65 GMC pickup and wanted another project. My gmc was bagged front and rear with a 4 link. To be honest, it was badass, yet utterly useless. I want a truck that I can still pull a boat if I feel like it. I want a damn truck!!!! A very low to the ground truck...
hey guys called up djm suspension the other day and when I asked the guy about pinion shims he said they did not have them and that I don't need them I am almost sure i told him my truck is a longbed I am confused now some of the guys on here say it should be at original specs for the pinon angle I don't want vibration issues I want to do it right first time around anyone on here ever done the front and back djm drop on a longbed thanks in advace for any and all advice
