Sounds like you had a great time...I googled the station...it's a beautiful old building. They don't build them like that anymore...that much style would be very expensive to reproduce in a modern building.

oh it was. so worth the 4:30am wake up. its a shame they dont build em like that anymore. I love that style. funny story about that station. the floor for the ladder truck is about a foot lower than the engine bay, because thats the only way the ladder will fit in the bay. the building is on the national historic landmark registry, so the building itself cant be modified, but they lowered the floor. the reason? the newer ladder trucks couldnt fit inside because of the curved door. they would hit the control stand for the ladder.(the white box at the rear of the ladder truck) alright im out. got a party to go to. ttyl. pics will be up later.
