I plan on using the Jeep for off road, no competition, no shows.

what do you plan on doing with the jeep when you are done? i know you have lockers and horsepower among other goodies, but is it going to be a trailer queen for shows or a mud monster?
i worked on my bike after picking a bushel of raspberries. it may be driving this weekend. i have said that before though....
Evening everyone, Question- does anyone know how to remove the overdrive switch on the shift lever, mine is just about busted and i can only get the actual button out i cant get the round plastic piece apart from the metal shifter, it has 3 wires that have no play in them so i have no option but to seek help.

the doughnut shaped end piece should just pull off, it snaps in.
the clear window with the letters and the switch should just slide out the end. the large knurled round plastic stays on the metal.
the wires are very tiny, and are probably broken where they go into the shifter, or they are rubbing and about to short. if you must take them out of the shifter, you need to remove the pins from the connector on the bottom, and the switch socket will pull out with the wires from the shifter.
