Lousy weather today... cloudy and raining. If I wanted to be someplace dark and wet, I'd go to the beer joint.

Which I may do anyway.

Sheesh...

Good afternoon/morning, wherever you are. Since our office closes early on Firday's, I'm off for the weekend now... lots of honey-do's lying in wait, but I am getting caught up on them. I plan to start installing a few accumulated (in the garage) mods next month while I'm using my son's Jetta TDI for 6 weeks - he'll be in England on a study abroad semester, and I'll enjoy the benefit of 42+ mpg for a while.

Y'all have a good afternoon, and be safe.

Unfortunately, that's the most civil term I can use here on a family oriented forum.

Oh crap..... what subjects? Have you had a chance to ask him WHY his grades slipped? Does this have anything to do with the mono? I know I am grasping at straws here but I am trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. Do you think his mom isn't pushing him to get his school work done and he is just slacking off?

I haven't talked to him yet but I'm guessing that it does have to do with that and the knee. What ticks me off is that I'm reasonably sure knowing his mother, she didn't bother to get his make-up work nor did she see to it that he caught up on it. When I saw his report card, that's the first thing that ran through my mind. She's a sorry excuse for a parent. There is a difference between being a father or mother and being a mom or dad. She is just pretty much a waste of skin. I told her one time that the best part of her had been left in a napkin at a drive-in and she proves it more and more every day.
