Pretty good. Finished up Geometry homework and I'm now happy that the TV will no longer be hijacked for college basketball.

Plus baseball season started and the RedSox won 5-3 against Tampa on Opening Day at Fenway.

The only disappointing part of the day was that I went out and looked at the mower I thought I could rob a needle valve from and it uses a different style valve so it won't work. I guess we've got to get to a Tecumseh dealer and fork over the cash for a new one.

 

Why would I want a dodge? I got a better idea, something that can be useful for other stuff.

 

Needle valve cant be too expensive though can it Pete?

 

Remember that girl I was goin to see over the weekend?! Well she wont stop texting me. I think I seriously have over 200 texts from her today alone and she "cant sleep" because shes thinking about her ex...

I told her I dont really like the guy and you should think about him before goin out with other guys over the weekend...

Boy do I love drama...not...

 

Probably not.

The biggest PITA is just getting there and back. Our shop is in the middle of nowhere. We've got a 10minute drive just to get to a gas station nevermind any dealers for anything. Except trailers. We pass right by the trailer dealership every day on the way to the shop.

The Deere dealership is probably a 40 minute round trip from our house which is just on the other side of town.

To get to CAT is a couple hours round trip.

Bobcat is even further.

The only Ford dealership I will use is an hour + round trip depending on traffic.

Getting places from our shop is a royal PITA.

Example: From the shop to our house is probably 10 minutes so a half hour one way to the Deere dealership to pick up a half dozen grease fittings that cost a whopping 86 cents each. It costs us more in time than anything else.

Let's figure one man hour costs us 30 dollars. That's 30 dollars of driving time for under 5$ in parts. That's when stuff gets expensive.

How for out of the nearest city do you live Pete?

I thought i was far enough out, I live 20 miles from Saskatoon. Takes 15-30 minutes to get into the city from my farm, depending on roads and traffic.

 

Why is she thinking about her EX after going out with you this past weekend? Got to love drama eh....

 

It's not that we live that far out in the sticks. The shop is more in the sticks than the house, but all the dealerships are either on the center/other side of town whereas we live on the edges of town.

The shop is on 100 acres of old farm property and is surrounded by farms. Honestly I'd love to live in the old farm house out there if it was all fixed up. It's all quiet and it's DARK out there at night. No street lights. No big lights. Nothing. Last summer I spent probably an hour laying on a trailer just staring at the sky. It's pretty cool.

It's just a PITA to get anywhere on all the bass ackwards roads we have here.

Plus the speed limits here are ridiculously slow. There is one road where you can see at least 400 feet at all times that they have marked as a 25mph road. BS. It's a 40mph road at least. If I ever get a speeding ticket that will be the road I get it on. You pull onto it and get going 40 without even realizing it. And the cops know it has a BS limit so they run radar there all the time.

New Haven is the largest City near us and it's probably 25 minutes or so from the farm on a good day. Mainly because people here can't drive worth chit and there is a merge that people get stupid at all the time. It's really poorly designed as well. There's 4 lanes. The middle 2 merge and the outer 2 are exit only. Except they are dotted lines all the way down so people run down the exit only lanes and then try to jump in the middle 2 lanes.

That is where I do things I shouldn't. For safety sake you really ought to let them in, but I'd keep the truck right next to them so they couldn't pull in. Bunch of jerks ought to be a little more considerate. Those sort of people are half the reason it's so slow through there.

Oh, I have no problems with it. She shouldnt either since shes been dating this guy the last like 8 months and I never knew it...

Dont know here motives for complaining to me, but whatever...
Like I said before, this is why I dont see her but like once a month. Her b*****n' and now the TRUE reason...a man in her life...
