Ed Im sorry to hear that man, I went through the same crap just last week too. My thoughts are with ya bud, its sad no matter if she was 96, or if she would have been 56.
I dont drink much anymore but I will do what i can and tip a glass of cool water back for ya, and pretend its vodka.

I did have a beer with Tom (lostmybeer) on Sat at a get together for NWFD (Northwestforddiesel) my first one in about two years.
when my sister passed away me and pops got drunk as snunks and passed out together arm in arm,
in bed, and dam mom took a picture too.
ok I got to stop talking about this. sniff sniff

I know what exactly what you are saying, I have been with Troy since I was 17. Marriage is tough and there are never any gaurantees even if you think you are doing everything as best you can.
Well I finally got the laptop back yesterday!! The desktop was making me crazy, I cleaned it up as much as I could but it was still slower than molasses compaired to this thing. Got my anti virus reinstalled this morning, just hoping I don't get anymore damn Trojans now.

I have no idea what I'm doing for easter. Prob nothing.
sad part is Grandma passed last Sat and Funeral is Thurs at 10 am and I wont be able to be down there in SoCal so I know mom and pops really wont be in a real happy mood and I'm bummed just thinking about it.
but hea on a good note Grandma was 96 and still got around real good and had her wits about her. So we all should be that lucky.
I did get to go down there about a month or so ago and spent some time with her, so real glad I got to see her.
so I think I'll have a drink on Thursday for grandma, hell everyone have a drink on Thursday for grandma. she would dig it.

Hmm.
I've got this Friday off from school so I think the PSD might get a little TLC.
I've got to find a decent deal on 5w-40 Rotella Syn though.
Either way it's getting a new fuel filter. I already have one of them in hand. Then I'll put a new needle valve in that Husqvarna snowblower and that'll be good to go.

We're working 4-10's this week, but my weekend is already booked - maybe one minor fuel upgrade on the truck, and the remainder of the time to be spent setting up an online bookstore so we can purge (ahem... sell) several hundred books from our attic and bookcases.

Pete & Jacob - don't worry about weddings... I'm 38 and haven't been more than a groomsmen yet. BUT..... being a single guy at a wedding can be A LOT of fun. Go watch Wedding Crashers. You bet. Right now the roads in Texas are like what is pictured below. Every year, on Easter weekend, we go on a Hill Country road trip to see the bluebonnets and have barbecue at some famous barbecue joint. This year, I am thinking that we will go to the Salt Lick and have some barbecue there.
So far I have Sandi talked into a few things. No church traditional wedding. Our plans for IF we ever got married are to head out to BC with our boat, get a JP to marry us on the boat, and jump in the water. She is planning on wearing a bikini and a summer dress thingy, and Ill be wearing swimming trunks and a tall tophat like the one fella from guns n roses used to wear (I was even contemplating jumping in the water without my trunks on, just so the last thing everyone can see is my single, naked ***!!

I thought the same thing until every single person I know is divorced and I was the veteran of the bunch. There isn't a single person I've meet that is married after 15 years to the same person (under 50). Some didn't make it a year and 75% were under 5 years. 
Some are on the 2nd and 3rd wifes and they say the same thing, best day of their lifes was the day before they got married.
I don't know anymore, I'm going to have to do a lot on hands on research in the near future to validate my concerns. lots and lots of research.

Ed, sorry to hear about your grandma. I actually lost my grandpa Larry about a week and a half ago. Still not sure how to feel about it.

Good Afternoon everyone! J-L and I are headed to my aunts for easter dinner. There are supposed to be 16 people there. This will be the first time in 12 years that Jim isn't doing the cooking. We went out to eat one year and everyone complained that the food was horrible. Now that I think of it I have done Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner all those years too.
HA..yeah, I don't think I'd want to do it more than once either.

You and I have never met, Ed, but my wife and I will be celebrating our 23rd anniversary to each other this August. Neither of us were ever married before to anyone else, and we've been fortunate to have 6 children together... no adoptions... and again, no children for either of us before we were married. I'm 47-1/2, and she's nearing 46.
It does happen.
