They were waiting for you Matt!

And with that said...

Reminds me of my days working at a Caterpillar dealership. One of the "advantages" of living close to work I was usually one of the first one's in on the crummy days. Since I was a steering wheel holder...I wasn't likely to be going anywhere that morning anyway; so I'd fire up a 140 and go after clearing the driveway & parking lots. I've said it before and I'll say it again...I can run a grader, backhoe, dozer and trackhoe enough to get them on & off the trailer as well as show someone how they work. But I can't make them an "attachment of my body" like some of these folks that have been running them for years. I've had a new found respect for a good operator for a couple of years now. Somedays I miss the job/career...I usually had a good day and enjoyed going to work. But the crap from upper management was incredible. Anyone here had dealings with "6 Sigma"?

Yeah i here what youre saying about living close, i am two minutes from base got there about an hour earlier than im supposed to be this monring. I know wha youre saying about people who operate man, some guys can run these machines with their eyes closed and hands tied behind their backs. Me, not so much, can i run a machine, yes... but i will be the first one to say, not that great. I had been sick of running the plow all weekend, but when my head supervisor got there about an hour after me and saw the parking lot, he was disgusted.... He called up transportation and they said they have the big deuce's with plows and salters on them ready to go, but no one to run them. So i went and picked one up and cleaned up our parking lot pretty good.

Ok I'll acquiesce to your operating ability on this one. I don't do precise foot brakes all that well.

And I'm off school all next week until Monday the 22nd so if you need another operator I'm available.

but that 13 hours sleep came after being up for 42 hours, and behind the wheel of a plow truck for 38 of those 42 hours.

Ah yeah, long weekend is here!

I wish I could retire by 46 lol. I think the plan is 53 or something for me right now though. That might get cut back or extended if I get into university next year though.
