hahaha... nah, sometimes it's just fun. I actually used "besmirch" in a conversation once. I had a number of friends that were English majors or just VERY well read, and it was sort of a game we'd play, to throw in technically accurate but "odd" words. Basically just amusing myself
Sorry, I hope I wasn't too bratty. I'm like a little kid. If someone gives me an Indian burn, I have to do it back twice as hard. You should see my sisters and I play Scrabble. We all have good vocabularies, but we have personalities that are polar. It's amusing some of the words we come up with.
Except when my younger sister plays. Best word we got out of her was "Jizz"
