Thats the common pitch for the roof's around here. Snow builds up on it a little bit, but its kinda one of those things that too much steeper and your house is gonna be way to tall.
Where the PSD is sitting is gonna be a garage, as big as i can fit in there. So far its gonna be 26 by about 32, and Im gonna see if I can trim the trees on the side there, and get a couple extra feet.
For windows, we actually got triple pane, low e argon windows. They are supposed to be about the best you can get right now.
Lisa thats awesome your dad had a big bike like that! This one is a 600cc, so its pretty big too, and the main reason I bought it, it was cheap haha. I had to go buy a parts motor/transmission to get second gear to quit popping out of gear, but im still well under a grand into the bike.
Regardign your job, im not surprised they think highly of ya. Doesnt surprise me one bit. I know you never wanted to do that forever though, and im sure ya wont.
My earth moving biz has slowed down for the time being. I took some time off (quit taking bookings) so I could do a bunch of work on our own place. I dont know if it makes sense or not, but by me doing the geo thermal digging, and all the trenching and septic, and water, and basement electrical, and etc. we will end up saving close to 40 grand.
So in my warped mind it made sense to slow my backhoe down for a monthish, and do a bunch of work, and "save" money. With the right jobs I could have made about 30 grand in a month and a half, so im still ahead a little (i think?)
Man that was a long post, I havent rambled like that for awhile!
Well, good I hope you found happiness and that you aren't working your nuts off 24-hours a day like you were.
.
Thank you,

That is using your head, kudo's to you.
Hiring it out, you would have flushed 10k down the toilet.

don't forget to figure in the taxes you didnt have to pay out on that $30,000...so I think you are way ahead!
Hey by the way, I am impatiently awaiting one of your patented folding steps. I'm 5'6. My truck is not. I sit in the engine bay a lot, and end up getting dirtier than necessary. I need one of those.

As soon as it's ready, you'll be the second to know!
