Well the last of my packages for my electric fuel came in today. The one thing I bought used tryin to save a little money, the pump, is totally wrong!!!! I got it from butler, no pic just told the guy I needed an inline frame mounted supply pump for a 99-03 superduty 7.3. They sent me an in tank pump with the fuel level deal and heater on it. So now I gotta order the right one, should of ordered new to begin with, and not be able to install this weekend. But I called them up, they credited my card and said dont worry about sending it back, they dont even know what it came off of. Lessons learned.
Search Walbro pump in the SD section. You will find plenty of support for why its a better pump. I think plenty of guys on FTE have figured it out but I know of a few other sites that alot of the guys run it.
And like Joe said for the price you can't beat it. Price the SD pump from Ford and you will see. Most times you can't even buy a used pump on ebay for $120
Thanks everyone, and Joe, IDK why but advances website says 145.00 but when I call them they say 173.00 for the exact pump. I'm gonna try again and see if I can get them to match the online price since they have it in stock and I can get it TODAY!!! Still good to go for this weekend.
Advance matched it but they werent happy about it. Will have it tomorrow morning. Thanks. And TJ, I really liked the Walbro one but it didnt say anything about a warranty, so I didnt know if it crapped out if they would honor it.
