    Hi Joe- I am new to the forum and to powerstrokes. I drove my 6.9L F-350 4 spd for 23 years and have recently bought a '02 7.3L 4R100. It has very low miles (1550) on it. It was stored for 7 years. I will be towing a 10000 lb RV trailer alot. I want to modify it to pull strong and last long. I don't understand the 3 ea 1/16" hole drilling thing. Can you please help me understand it. I can't make out any of your photos on utube or the forum. It sounds so easy, but I don't get it. What would you do to this like new tranny that can be done without dropping it. I am doing a flush on the tranny and thought I could knock out a few mods while I was at it.     Did you swap a 10.5" ring and pinion into a 10.25" rearend? Did you have to use the 10.5" carrier/limited slip? I want to swap a set of 3.73 from a 10.5" into my 1997 F250, and I saw in your Webshots that you did it. What about bearings? Can you use an install kit for the 10.5" or the 10.23"? Sorry for all the questions, but you seem to have all the answers!!! Thanks.

    hey Joe, i read somewhere on here that you were the resident trans guy on the obs. i was wondering if you could steer me in the right direction. the darn thing wont shift out of first gear under any constant load i have to race it up then let all the way off the throttle to get it to shift in to second once in it shifts through third and fourth like it always has. there are no codes for the trans or any thing related. the fluid is burnt fairly badly and it all started after i pulled around 8K Lb for 200 mi. round trip and it has not been the same since. oh and its the original trans from what I've been told and its just turned over 283 thousand. thanks, Brannon
