All of the swelling is gone. Dr. is real proud of his work. I am still extremely weak all over and breathing is a problem. My hand is probably at 50% and I lost my sponge but use clothes pins and play dough instead.

That Dr. may be proud of himself, but you should be proud of yourself.

A successful surgery is one thing, but someone who is tough enough to get past it is quite another.

Good job on the progress Mark.

I'm happy to hear you're better, my friend. Keep working that hand, and it'll come back. Sounds like the doc did a good job, but it had to be a little disconcerting to hear "Oh Wow!" come out of his mouth as he was looking at it.

What kind of sponge do you want? I'm still trying to get over there to see you and I'll be more that happy to bring you a sponge, squeeze ball or whatever you need.

Got it brother, Maybe tomorrow, I'll call first. Here's what's been occuping a lot of my time. Parents are our best friends and we have been helping with all we can while they spend time with her. She's as much a fighter as you are Mark. Have a look, it will put a smile on you face and a prayer her way wouldn't hurt either.

Keep using that hand, Mark! Im just glad youre still here to share your wisdom and lessons with the younger folks like me on FTE! Dont get discouraged...I was in a wheelchair for 3 months and on crutches for almost 8 months. Im just glad they could fix me up and it seems like you will be fixed up just fine as well!

Well, I finally got by to see Mark today and I was really surprised he was in as good a shape as he was. He was able to get up and walk far enough unlock the door to let me in. He actually looked good for an old Yankee. He don't think he's getting better fast enough, but for a man that's been through all he's been through, I think he looked great. He's got a ways to go, but if he don't get too impatient, he will be there before he knows it.
