Mornin' folks. I'm up out of habbit, I guess. Don't have to be at the unit until 11. Woke up around 6.
About those tugs -- aren't they geared really low? Every pull I've seen they run up the RPMs after getting the sled going. That's one thing I've been wanting to see more of, and I'm going to try to get to a few this year. Wish I could give it a try, but 2WDs don't really pull, do they??
I have seen some of the 2WD pullers here at some of the county fairs and I have to admit I was pretty impressed.

That awesome Jacob. I'm really glad that you had a good time. You deserved it my friend.
The tractors are a L2550. But when you look for those all you find are "normal" looking tractors, nothing like this.
!
think they would be 25 to 30 HP.Without the added feders and bumpers and painted orange they would probly look like a kubota tractor a little more

That would depend on the pulling class, some of the tractors don't turn a lot of RPM
Cris - thanks for the video; they're hysterical to watch, but a bit terrifying too!!
Jim - hope you got some good rest (and some hot nurses!!)
Joe - you're like me I think; just can't sleep in really
Nolan - you suck!!! LOL! nice new toy! and if you're doing wheelies already, where's the vids?
everybody else - hope your day is starting off great
my buddy Jon from back East flies in today to go skiing for the weekend. I stay at his house when I go back East. Nice big house with a hottub.... actually, huge friggin' house!! He's about the only guy I know to go through a divorce and not get screwed over. Funny story about the dishes too when they were splitting up... still makes me chuckle.

Hospitals are terrible for getting rest. You'd think you could get some good sleep there, but they're constantly poking, prodding, taking BP, etc, etc.... Hope you get to go home soon, Jim!!
Yeah Brenden, I don't sleep in very often. Even on weekends. 6am is my normal wakeup time, and even if I do manage to sleep past that, the dogs wake us up at 7:00 for their breakfast. LOL...
It was so nice this week, now we're looking at below-freezing temps tomorrow morning here. I friggin' hate the weather here -- it's constantly ping-ponging one way or the other. The trees are already all sprouting leaves/buds, so I was hoping that we would start having spring weather. I hope this is the last dip into the 30s.
Thanks Jim! Jon is the skier, I'm a 'boarder!! He's one of the few skiers that I like!!! friggin' 2-plankers.... LOL!

You don't want to be in CO then!! The past 3 days were in the mid-60's. Today *might* hit 40, but not likely; 38 should be the high. Saturday will be low to mid-50s. I like the 60's but I agree with you; the ping-pong crap is just annoying!!

OMG. The little car in the parking lot..I could have backed my 22foot long BIG *** TRUCK into that spot the first try.
And the lady going through the gate...I watched the video twice and for the life of me I can't figure out how she flipped that car over.

I feel your pain Joe. It was SOOOO nice here day before yesterday. So much so that I just went outside for a while and soaked up some sun to get some Vitamin C and watched the birds. Saw my first Cardinal.
Tonight, after work, we are going to a retirement party for a friend that has worked here at R&M for years. Today is her last day, lucky her! Should be a fun party.
Tomorrow, my new California king sized bed gets delivered. Cannot wait to sleep on it. No more aching back in the morning.
Tomorrow night it's the Houston Rodeo Barbecue Cook Off. It's Houston's version of Mardi Gras....enough said.
Yeah Cris/Brendean/Lisa, it was about 90 out west where I was testing earlier this week. I was LOVING it!! It's time to start focusing on how to get my butt back to FL. I'm hearing stories of homes selling REALLY cheap now. We'll see...
It *is* nice to see the Cardinals & Blue Jays in the back yard here though. We don't see those in FL. Of course, there are other cool types of birds down there: Pelicans, Ibis, Spoonbills, etc, etc, etc. And where my folks live, there are wild Iguanas running around -- but they're a bit "messy" on the docks, if you know what I mean. That, and they get in my Dad's Mango tree and tear up the fruit. LOL... Pizzes him off BIG TIME!!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Scott your weekend sounds like a blast. We're going to Randy's folk's for the weekend.
I like them, but after about a day there I am ready to go home.

One of my favorite things about Houston were the little lizards that ran around all over the outside of the houses. They came in all different colors. They weren't iguanas though, more like a gecko.
