I feel your pain, Jim! They operated on my heart with small catheters thru my groin area...I was sore for a few days....actually using it was the absolute last thing on my mind!
This morning Mark was taking off support. He had 8 people in the room with him. His sister was rubbing his head, his two lady friends were on opposite sides of him holding his hands. He never gasped or anything. It took 7 minutes....
His daughter and son are on the road right now, in Marks truck... They are both in tears right now reading the original thread ( from the fed exed copy that was sent to him). They are really touched by you guys..
They have Marks computer, they said when they turn it on it goes right to this site. They will be having a memorial, and they will be posting the info..
Thats all I have......sorry
Even though you know it is the inevitable it still took the wind out of my sails this afternoon reading of the finality.
Thanks for letting us know Pat. I sure am glad he had family there and went peacefully.
Sorry to keep bringing this up to the forefront everyone. It just helps me to deal with it to talk a little about Mark. What makes this the toughest for me is the fact that he reminds me so much of my dad. Opinionated as hell, speaks what is on his mind, curmugeonly (sp?), but a heart of gold. And him not being in the best of health either just make Marks passing seem to hit really close to home. I really need to call dad tonight. I would go see him but it is snowing like hell here.

PLANO — Plano police are investigating a bizarre overnight accident at 17th Street and Jupiter Road.
Police spokesman Rick McDonald said a driver who was going too fast on an S-curve flew across the parking lot of First Presbyterian Church, went airborne, and hit the roof of a house behind the church shortly after midnight Wednesday.
The driver was ejected from the vehicle on impact and was pinned underneath the car as it crashed to the ground. The driver, whose name was not available, was seriously injured.
In addition to heavily damaging the house, the speeding car also crashed into a parked car outside the residence.
The speed limit on that stretch of Jupiter Road is 35 mph.
I can see it now, Dp on it, install a BIG turbo, and wheelie bars.....Ummm, Nolan, would you like your $100.00 back for one of them? lol

They are 3 cyl. 4 speed diesel pullers!
The one with the stack is MINE! And i already have plans for it!
Jay, I was going to say the same exact thing Jim just said to you. We are not only friends on here but we are family in every sense of the word. We all share so much in common it's a little scary at times to me. Finding FTE at times was like finding long lost family members to me. We play, argue, take cheap shots at times and most importanly laugh with eachother and at eachother. I don't know what I would do without all of you....
Please take the time to call you dad tonight, I will call mine when he gets off work this evening just to tell the cranky old fool that I love him.
Im trying to find out more info on them. I know that it was made in 1985ish. It has a 4 speed tranny. A Direct Injected 3 cyl. 1.4L diesel motor. And thats about it. They were originally built to move small air craft.
I am really tempted to make it able to pull a sled. HEHEHE

Dang!! That's just up the road from my office... I didn't hear about this, but I heard about a fool that had several DUIs in multiple states hit a small import (couldn't make out what it was) and nearly killed a 3 year old. He's only being kept alive by machines, and his family won't take him off. But since the kid didn't die, the drunk is out on $7500 bond. The worst part is that the guy was driving a F250, and I'm pretty sure it was a 7.3. Here's the video story. VERY sad... Toddler's Brain 'Destroyed' in Crash

Hey Nolan, those are old baggage tuggers from the airport. I used to be a Ramp Manager for USAir back in the early 90's and we had 10 of those. Great little tractors. Ours had no low range gears and would do 30mph across the tarmac. You folks always wondered how you baggage could get so torn up when you fly, well, if you remember the old samsonite commercial with the gorilla tearing up the suitcase...... Yeah that was us.
