Hmmm... 4x4 van... isn't there some company that makes 'em sick crawlers with diesel engines? I'll have to do some digging, but I know I've seen 'em in a magazine...

The 7.3 forum I believe is the most active forum on this site. I think that's part of the reason for moving the OT out of the 7.3 forum.... to try and help wake the rest of the place up.

Well Randy was in Chicago last night. Feels strange to be in this house by myself. I had the revolver loaded next to the bed. I've lived by myself for about 9 years now I don't know why it bothers me when he leaves.

Its so hard to gauge an interview. Nearly impossible. I'm sure you did fine, but you never know if someone's boss' brother interviewed or whatever. There are always variables.

And THAT kind of retardedness is where many mechanics get most of their business from.

Yeah..that was hard to watch. Our whole lives are spent trying to MAINTAIN our engines, its not easy to watch someone destroy one.

Lisa, I'll give you a call this afternoon when we head out, probably be around 6:00pm, one side or the other.
Adam...I just found out last night that Randy committed us to dinner and drinks at some place in Iowa City. We're supposed to be there at 6:30. So, if you can drop by at like 6:00 we'll be on our way out right around that time. If not I apologize, I had no idea Randy did this. Maybe we could arrange for sometime this weekend.

Man oh man... maybe that's why I'm single... I've NEVER made plans for someone else. I just don't assume I have that authority. I'm not trying to insult you or Randy at all... but are you really OK with him makings plans for you without asking you first? I'm truly curious about this.

I truly dont like it when my brother makes plans for me without asking...

But I think a couple needs to be a little flexible for their partner. ( no, not that kind of flexible...thats a different post)

LOL. Yeah Randy does that. Last year when I drove his Nissan out from Denver to Cedar Rapids he called me when I was just outside of Des Moines and told me we were having lunch with his boss once I got into town.

The night before, I had spent the night (didnt quite get 4 hours of sleep) in North Platte in one of the scariest places I have ever been. I was up at 4 that next morning, no shower, tired as hell, I had slept on a loveseat that was only about 4' long. I was tired and grumpy from the 8 hour drive, and I looked like hell.

I flipped out on him. Needless to say, we didn't make that lunch meeting.

He doesn't mean any harm by it, he realizes now that he needs to let me know whats going on. This time around, dinner and drinks, he actually did ask my permission, last night. lol. He would cancel it if I wanted him to, but its no big deal. We'll probably meet up with Adam and then leave after that.

Randy is a boss, he is used to making decisions...that and he is still getting used to living with a girl, and the fact that he needs to think about me before making decisions. Its a slow process but he is getting better.

Julie does it to me all the time, and vice versa..... We get invited to my customers home's alot after the projects are completed, sometimes on very short to no notice whatsoever....I have been to more than one dinner party with my tool belt still on....I've even had to text Julie before and tell her to come by ASAP for a dinner since I couldnt leave....LOL... We just roll with it, cant sweat the small stuff. Have a great day everyone!!!! I see the big brown truck is heading to my house today!!!! Nothing special, just a nice new shiny exhaust tip!
