Where the house in MA is it is on a private road and the lines have to come from the main road. They are supposed to be changing the xfmr at some point in time. So it runs a bit on the low side.
That's getting so low you'll start to have problems with everything electric but light bulbs. Here, we pretty much blow regular incandescent bulbs in record time because of the voltage.

That's why I use backup power supplies on the comp equiptment. Light bulbs last forever here. Have you tried using the long life bulbs? Their rated at 130V

Jacob sometimes taking a picture of a picture can be just as good as scanning it in. Just go to a room with lots of light and see what you can do.
I thought about that and I did take a picture but I have no way of uploading the pic unless I go on the other computer, which my sister is writing a paper on.

Thanks Buddy
Yep -- the florescent bulbs last forever. I'm slowly but surely replacing all my bulbs with those. They even have three-way bulbs now that are quite nice. And you're welcome!!

The compact florescents' have come a long way lately. They have them now that are very high in the Kelvlin scale.
Ok I have a strange networking issue here. In the flood my modem and router got wet and are no good. My neighbor has an unsecured network so I have been hopping on that one. Well it usually comes up with the name ans telling me that the connection is low to very low. It would drop out from time to time. Today there are no networks "in my area" but I am connected to some network that is all sorts of weird symbols and the connection say's excellent. There are only 2 houses near me and they are at least 100-150' away from the trailer that I am in. I don't have anything connected in my house.

I had the same problem when I bought this house.A bulb might last a month.I mentioned it to a friend that was an electrician and he told me about 130v bulbs. They were at that tme alitle hard to find
Back then lots of bulbs were only rated for 115v and best I can remember I was getting 125v at the box
