I may try and squeeze a 305/70R18 next.....but I really like the 325mm width.
Yeah I like the lower profile look of either the 60 series or 65 series.
The 305/70R18's would be the same overall diameter as the 325/65R18 just not as wide right.
I like the idea of just being able to downlad a tune, but at $185, that's kinda spendy?? I guess if you're just getting a DP for the first time then yeah it could come in handy if you're not too sure what you want, but for me it's cheaper just to send it in and have Jody reflash it for me. Unfortunately I got single shots, so it runs crappy without the tuner....
I have an Edge Juice w/Attitude on my Excursion and really like it. I'm not into heavy modifications and it develops much more power than I ever use. I like the 6 different power levels (including stock) and the digital display and instant power tunes on the Attitude. It automatically defuels on shifts and when the programmable EGT limit is reached.
I had an Edge Juice w/ Attitude on my Duramax too. I liked it very much for the display screen, on-the-fly adjustments, and no need for more gauges. But it operates differently than the chips and programmers mentioned earlier. It intercepts signals to and from the engine and sends out new signals. The down side is that the truck engine controller doesn't see the real engine data and you lose some of the engine protection strategies. There is potential to harm the engine. A new chip or programmer can still take advantage of factory safety features that Ford spent time to develop.
Another thing about the Edge w/ Attitude is that I found MANY people at various forums that had serious problems and would never buy another. There was an intermittent glitch with the gauge pack on mine but nothing that caused any drivability issues. I personally know two people that recently ordered a new unit and both were defective from the factory. So in my small world I haven't seen one work right yet. Edge has great customer service and corrects problems. But it would be better if they could get it right more often on the front side of sale (and make them more profitable!).
