So here's my question....

People talk so much about Jody (DP Tuner) and Tony Wildman. But what is the connection between DP Tuner and Power Hungry Performance? Did PHP own DP Tuner at some point, and do they have the same off-the-shelf tunes for mileage and moderate towing?

I really like that PHP can integrate their tunes into the Edge Evolution packaging (what PHP calls the Gryphon). If by some chance that PHP tunes are just as good or even the same as DP Tuner, then I want the PHP Gryphon.
Bill at PHP is one the oldest tuners in the business. IIRC he used to do the tuning for edge products. DP Tuner and PHP are 2 separate businesses, with Bill tuning at PHP and Jody at DP Tuner. I don't know of any connection between DP and PHP. I would say that they both have similar tunes, but their not "off the shelf tunes". These guys write their own programs, so there will be some differences and some similarities.

I was wondering if the superchip will work with any other controllers because right now I have my truck stuck on the highest setting and I need to get it reflashed back to the factory setting. I was particularly looking at the Quadzilla Commander to mount on the pillar to install. Let me know what you think.
You will have to get your pcm reflashed. I wonder if the idiot that stole your tuner has realized that it's vin locked

Edit:What Dan said. I type slow.lol

I wonder what the dealership will charge to reflash it. I hope the jacka$$ that stole it never got to use it. He also stole my brake controller as well, he probably didn't even know how to use either anyways, what a moron!

You could have Jody reflash it for ya. DP-Tuner If he did use your superchips, all he could do is read codes.

How would Jody reflash it? Over the phone or would I send it to him?

You would have to send it to him. Click on the link in my last post and you can see the different options he has.

The DP-TUNER will override the Superchip settings. Call Jody and he will let you know this. In fact, the DP will override any tuner that is installed on the PCM. I had the Superchip for 4 years before DP. Don't get an off the shelf tuner like the Quazilla, get custom tunes like the DP.

That is a lot of information that you need to input. I don't think I remember any of it.

It does not matter the chip will override the programmer so you don't need to know what the old parameters are.

So I can just put in the basic info? Also do I have to remove the actual chip from the PCM or can I leave it in there?

The new chip goes onto the PCM so yes if you have an older style superchip that hooked to the PCM then you will remove it to install the new chip.

Edit: I am assuming you had a super chip programmer if that is the case you should not have a chip on the PCM it would have plugged into the data port.

If you decide to go with DP Tuner this was a question i had for Jody at DP. I had my SC setting on 120 and i was so excited to install it i forgot to reset the SC back to stock, and i was worried. I E-Mailed Jody at DP and he told me what everybody said above, his chip will overide the SC program.
