Not sure why you guys are "threatened" by the OT......never understood that. We contribute a helluva lot in tech threads also. We are family here in the 7.3 section, and the OT has just brought the Family closer together. There's plenty of lawn chairs next to the campfire
I don't feel threatened, but I can see the mod's point. In relation to my posts in the OT, I don't come here to bash the thread. But if you want to flame me for something posted elsewhere, go ahead, I can handle it.

Just a word to the wise, loooooong ago I was once a member of a FTE regional chapter of three states in my region, it was very active, it got to be very cliquish, then got to bumping heads and eventually defying the mods and admin, which led to the section being removed, a bunch of members being banned forever, and a bunch more leaving on their own. It was really sad, I had a lot of friends who left or were ejected. Last I knew you couldn't even put the name of the chapter in a post without getting filtered.

So just remember, it is their site, and we live by their rules.

That is all.

I do have one idea, i think it's good. If some people think that this thread is a needless use of bandwith (particularly the people that ACTUALLY PAY the money to keep the site running, they should somehow limit the OT thread to supporters only. Doesn't that make sense? You can post in the OT thread, even though its not helping the technical part of the forum, you paid for it.

I always kind of wondered why you didn't come in and visit the OT. I guess now I know.

Guys, (not you Clux) lets turn the OT over to a positive note. We got it back, lets try not to grapple with one another and get it closed..please?

I WILL give noogies, if I have to.

There are other things that need to be addressed as far as I am concerned, which is what set Jeremy and I off. Thats all I have to say for now, and thanks to those who let me know something was in the works...

I just went back and looked, and everybody but one that posted here is a supporter. If anything, that SHOULD carry some weight with Ken. That said, I don't think the OT is something that should be blocked from non-supporters. It's kind of another incentive to BECOME a supporter.

The Club is supporter exclusive, so pretty much everybody here would be able to post in it. Plus they have some pretty good threads going over there that make this one look like childs play.

Scott,

I think the re-direct idea would be great. Would there basically be a sticky at the top that links to it or would the title move up and down the forum like a normal thread?

Seems to me a simple solution would be for the Mods to move the OT threads to the GNA forum after (or as soon as) they are closed. That should solve most of the tech dilution issues, and keep just the active OT thread in the 7.3.

Oh, and I fixed my signature.
I guess I must be #2 on the list of identified enemies of the OT.

I think I might join you in that thought.

I am freezing, I think I might go put my cold feet all over that warm, unsuspecting, innocent man sleeping in my bed.
