Glad that's resolved. For a minute there I visualized this group heading down the path of "those who shall not be named".

I think we should just keep it here. I really don't think the "Forum Search Dilution" is all THAT big of a deal. I search for stuff in this forum all the time, and I don't think the OT got in the way even once. Even if it does come up on a hit, you can see in the title that it's an OT Thread! I guess I'm just a bit skeptical about that as the MAIN reason...

There -- I've vented.

It would be great to have a link to click to in the 7.3 forum to redirect you to wherever the OT would be. We can all compromise im sure, just the lack of explanation I think stirred it up a lot.

What about that statement was "bashing" the OT?

Did you notice that the O/T thread sat over there all day long today and no "strangers" (with the exception of myself) posted in it?

Could be that the folks you are worried about are not all that interested in "bothering" you.

Not trying to start trouble, just adding another perspective.

Many people work days and have no access to FTE at work...Steve...

To Cookie...

I dont understand why you moved the OT thread without an explanation..

A lot of this could have been avoided if one was given BEFORE moving the thread...

Some of us here in the OT read tech threads still (actually ALL of us do) Our campfire has been bashed several times, never got involved with that

Not sure why you guys are "threatened" by the OT......never understood that. We contribute a helluva lot in tech threads also. We are family here in the 7.3 section, and the OT has just brought the Family closer together. There's plenty of lawn chairs next to the campfire

LOL... Us being "bothered" wasn't really the main point. We all just know each other really well, and like to BS about stuff other than the 7.3 sometimes (it's hard to believe, I know... ). I for one really don't care to mess around in that GNA forum. I've been in there less than 5 times, and one of them was today because of that thread being moved there. It's just a harmless OT thread here in this forum, and we all enjoy it (except for Kris ). We're not trying to exclude anyone, we just like the convenience of it being in our own forum, and seem to share more traits than just owning a 7.3L PSD in a lot of surprising ways. IOW, "It's a 7.3L Diesel thing, you wouldn't understand".
