Tristan, I'm not so sure about this friend of yours. Any guy that would treat his partner like that is absolutely worthless in my book, and probably wouldn't be a real friend when you needed him most.

My opinion anyway. I am very picky about the people I hang out with.

Hey Sheldon. I know, my advice was strange...but you have to actually be mean to the plug. Not pretend mean, but really mean. Think of something that makes you really mad, and then go at it...just don't break the car. Animals have better senses than we do and she'll be able to pick up that you are not happy. If she relates that emotion with the plug, she'll likely leave the plug alone. The connection has to be made though.

So Sheldon..what are you getting your awesome woman for Christmas? When are you going to marry this girl?

We actually have a little "deal" going. Since I dont wanna get married and she does, she has to accomplish a few certain simple tasks over a time period haha.

I know -- sorry about that. Sorry about the singing too... Sometimes it's hard to remember that I carry phones months before they're generally available. Then when they finally do come out, I'm on to the next one. It was like that when I was at Nokia, too. I think it would be difficult for me to have to actually BUY a phone that was on the market. LOL...

GREAT ideas, Lisa!! I've used the Sour Apple stuff before, but never tried the "going psycho-mad" trick. My Lab likes to eat my cat's food. I mean, I know Labs are exceptionally smart dogs, but he takes the cake. We put the bowl up on the counter, pushed way back by the back of the sink. He still gets it. But that's not the funny part -- he then CARRIES it out in the dining room (where he always carries his treats to eat) in his mouth, then licks it clean. Maybe I should try beating the tar out of the cat's dish and see what happens. He's smart enough to put that together, but maybe too smart where he won't care since it's not him getting in trouble.

My Omnia has the Opera browser on it. It's what I use when I'm out & about. Still a PITA compared to full screen, but better than nothing for SURE!!!

Same here, just got a call from a friend of mine and her pipes are frozen under her house. Going to head over and see about fixing her up! Its a nice 8 degrees so it should be fun....

Never tried the beating the snot out of something to keep the dogs away either. May have to try that.

Got the snowblower running. Woohoo. Now I do not have to shovel every time.

Snowing here pretty good today. 3-4 inches so far.

 

I have been really lucky, my dog came 6 weeks old and darn near trained already. Very odd I know. I tell her NO, and she stops. Tell her to fetch, she does....everything is so easy with her. Never ruined anything, doesnt chew anything, just a perfect dog. Just got very lucky. She is a black lab/border collie mix.

 

Great I just finshed fixing the 6oh and I go to start it DEAD. I am like ok I will get the 7.3 to start it get in it DEAD my luck sucks today

 

My 7.3 was dead today too, but kinda by my own fault! It was really cold here this morning, and I thought I would try starting it anyway, even without it plugged in, and no go!

So I plugged it in for a few hours, put the honda on it to boost it (I know but its all I had that started today!) and then she fired up real nice!

Next winter Im gonna do the syn oil change BEFORE it gets cold, and Im gonna get the biggest cca batteries I can fit in there! The old ones (work great still) will get "demoted" to my backhoe!

Man I still cant get my lawn tractor to start either! Should go after boosting it with the diesel though

 

Mine has 2 new motorcrafts, new GP's and relay. Running dino oil too. It starts like its nothing even down to the 7 degrees we are having lately. Chugs for a quick sec then goes right up to high idle and she's good to go.
