not to often you see a gas f150 towing a diesel f250 super duty. any improvement in the weather there pat. it is starting to look worse and worse here.
Never got real warm here Orin but there was not a breath of wind all day. Just got all bundled up and go the work done. It felt pretty nice to be outside working for a change. Got a few pics of the place before the real work starts. I think my plans are bigger than my wallet however.
Morning/Afternoon Wyoming! Miles, congrats on getting into your house! I'll have to check out the pics at home. Had a crappy morning, my '06 gelled up on me on the way to work this morning. Luckily, I hadn't gotten out of town when she quit. Otherwise, that may not have been fun, since the temp was at -8 at the time. Spent most of the morning getting her towed back to the house. Damn.
Hey Pat, I would have thought that truck would have heaters to prevent jelling. Warantee issue posibley. I would research to make sure also would check on the use of Power Service in the fuel. I don't know on the newer trucks so it wise to check but in earlier day not so long ago I would get a diesel in and thaw them out then add the recomended dose of Power Service to prevent Jello in the tank. Wish you luck man.
Amazing how small the world is. My mom owned that house for a few years until about 5 years ago. I was going to say that is either an identical floor plan or it is the same house.

That is quite the coincidence. What did she think of the place? I like most of the features, really like the empty lot to the east, and dislike a few things that we are planning on fixing.

Morning Orin, Miles, and the Wyoming crew! I actually run Stanadyne in it year around. What I've discovered, it's not the truck or the additive, it's the fuel. All the dealerships around here, no matter what brand, have had a TON of gelled up diesels in. The fuel isn't being mixed properly, and it's full of moisture. The service manager at the Ford dealer I bought the '06 at, showed me a filter that had been gelled, and another that was completly froze, do to all the moisture in it. So, I'm going to have to be very careful where I get fuel this winter!!

I knew I forgot something last night Miles! I spaced checking out your house pics!
I think she liked the upstairs bedroom and the yard/greenhouse the most. I assume there is still a greenhouse in the back.
Greenhouse is still there and the upstairs finished attic is nice. I like that it has a two car garage that you can park cars in and still have room to do a little work. The two car we have now is so small that our two little cars barely fit.
Good morning every one. Another beautiful winter chilly day in Wyo but I understand it is worse in other area's. I suppose one should not complain.
Pat, I had miscalculated water in your troubles. Jello is one thing out right moisture freezing is another. My questioning mind wonders how come we went from almost $7.00 a gallon fuel to around $2.00 in a few short months. I wish you the best of luck but on another note I have noticed that area neighbors that keep their gasoline too long have troubles. I diagnosed running issues last fall for a neighbor that had a couple of fuel ingected out fits that were getting hard to start. It was traced to ageing fuel that was not all that old by earlier standards in their farm tanks. (Seasonal blending was an issue as well).
They still had quite a bit left that they had spent good money on and did not want to waste so I told them to fill their fuel injected out fits in town and run the storage fuel through their older carburated farm trucks and such but a while back even they would hardly run any longer. That stuff got so bad you couldnt hardly light it with a torch. Even though gasoline carries a sinnus opening oder, old fuel smell will linger forever it seems.
Yeah, real nice having to pay $2.40 a gallon for crappy, water filled diesel! I made the mistake saturday of filling up somewhere other than my normal diesel station. Won't be doing that again!!
Despite the cost I have stayed with the ones I trust. I will not fill from a cut rate. Well all have a great day but I have to run back out the door to the salt mine. Later.

Pat, I am going to have to keep on the fuel here. I run powerservice or Diecyl Plus from Total year around and haven't had any problems in 2 1/2 years of daily driving.
