I'm not fond of moving myself, but being in the military, you get used to it every few years. It seems like no matter how much stuff we get rid of, we just collect more and more!
At least now, because of funding, the militatary moves don't occur as often..about every 6 years instead of 4 now.
Next thing I know there is a rolling fire in the back as the cigarette tossed by the driver has torched the mattress and was working on the box spring. My only real worry was the full 5 lb propane tank attached to the bbq.
Whoa!! Can you say rolling bomb!! Good morning to all my Wyoming buds! Man, I would have about crapped myself!! That's a great story Miles!!

Good morning Pat. It was quite the move to say the least. I thought we were goners when the fire was really rolling. Probably won't try to love bbq's and beds at the same time again.
Good morning Miles, Pat, and all other unfrozen that come this way today. Miles that had to have been more fun than allowed by law. Fuel prices have slowed down most truckers but every now and then you will see one out on the road asleep at the wheel.

Good morning Orin. It really was fun after I realized that we were not going to blow up a one sq mile are around the truck. This must have been about May 2006 when this went down. I know the truck was hauling the mail because I was going about 85. I can not guarantee the trucker actually threw a cig out because I never found the culprit but that is an easier explanation that spontaneous combustion.
Hey there all! What are the gas prices like for those around Cheyenne, Wheatland, and Casper areas? We're heading out there for Christmas, and just wanting to get a feel for gas prices....
Mike, Cheyenne seems to be about $1.3X and Wheatland about $1.4X. If you catch Wheatland on the right day you can get it for $.99 up to $1.1X. The new Maverick station likes to play games with there prices and they change about 20 times a day so they are .02 lower than anyone in town.
My sister lived in Riverton for a couple years and said they always had expensive gas.
If diesel would go back to the prices it was at 5-6 years ago my 50 mpg Jetta would really be a good deal. At least it is only $40 to fill up instead of $75.
I'd just like to be able to drive the black truck more. It gets better gas mileage than my '97, bu that doesn't make up for the 80-90 cent difference between gas and diesel!
I wish someone could give a good answer to why diesel is now more expensive than gasoline. Up until a few years ago it was 30-50 cents a gallon cheaper.
