Good morning frosty Wyoming. Pat, I think every body froze last eve. It is a nice crisp 8 degree's with clearing skies here at the ranch this morning. My healer "Lucy" and whats that? "Flint" a 115 pound you guess it, that is what it be black dog have taken residency along side the stove only going out long enough to take care of business. I must be developing compassion as a few years back they would have been out side for the day already.
It's a lot colder here today. We were supposed to get some snow, only had a skiff of it at the house. Probably a 1/4 of an inch here at the plant (which is about 28 miles north of the house) but the wind is blowing so hard, it's not accumulating anywhere.
Morning Pat, Orin, It is currently 16 here with 2 degree wind chill. Snowed a little yesterday but the snow we got is in Pats yard right now. Still working on moving and buying a house. I have decided that we are living in this new house forever because moving sucks.
Hey Miles, As said before good luck on the house and as far as moving is concerned I feel like now that the perfect move involves stacking all your belongings in a neat organized fashion in the front yard, pour gas over, light er up and walk away. Seems like most stuff winds up being lost, broke, or missplaced to the point where your grand kids will find it years after you are gone.
Morning Miles. I'm with you, I HATE moving!!! I didn't mind it too much when I was single, since I traveled fairly light! But now, with my wife and three kids, and the wife is a pack rat, so we have more crap than we know what to do with! Oh, and you couldn't have picked a worse time of year to move Miles!! Hate moving in the winter! Maybe next time we move, we'll use Orin's idea!!LOL!

I have moved 5 times in the last 6 years Moved to college, moved in the summer to a town house, lived in the townhouse for 3 years, moved to Cheyenne, moved into a different apartment in Cheyenne, moved into a townhouse we live in now, now finally moving into a place that we own. It has to be a good time to move since it is the time we are moving. Kinda worried about the snow but the race truck can evacuate the enclosed trailer for a few days so we can move couches and such.
Well gents good luck on moving but do check with local fire code about open burnings, it may be like other fun things be now against the law. LOL
It is now up in the 20's here at the ranch with clear sky's and no wind, in fact not a grass blade sturring I shall have to go forth once more into the world for the almighty dollar to put beans on the table tonight so talk to you in the morning.

I was the same when I was single. Seems I was moving to a new apartment every year or two. Got real good at it, though!! Always had my 3 older brothers, and a buddy or two to help, we usually could get it done in about 2 hours, and then it was Miller time! (on me, of course!)
I never had much to move. Usually bought a couch for $5 from the Salvation Army, 2 forks from Walmart and a bed with no frame. The couch would get donated to the next renter or back to the Salvation Army and the rest fit in the back of my 1991 F150.
One fun moving story. I was moving from Laramie to Cheyenne, driving down 1-80 just past Buford with a box spring, mattress and small grill in the back. I looked in the rear view every few minutes to check on the load and everything was fine until a few minutes after I was passed by a semi driving way over the speed limit. Next thing I know there is a rolling fire in the back as the cigarette tossed by the driver has torched the mattress and was working on the box spring. My only real worry was the full 5 lb propane tank attached to the bbq. Got stopped, threw the mattress and box spring out, said a few choice words and drove on. Watched the news later and didn't hear any stories about grass fires so I was in the clear. Except now I don't have a spare bed.
