Okay.....ripping a nail OFF is a different thing. I guess we can put with a little bit of "pee pee whining" as I like to call it
I dont remember the name of that movie but I do know what you are talking about.

And..whatever..mr. sniffles. I don't even call in sick when I am sick. Sick days are for f***ing off, not for staying at home.

Mark, that wasn't an offer! LOL.

I too have a high pain tolerance level. I have had chemo ports removed with no anastasia at all because I did not want to have to remain in the hospital overnight, but a torn nail, or a sliver under a fingernail hurts real bad.
My dad went through chemo too...the port got ripped out by accident a few times because he refused to slow it down and stop climbing around under vehicles and such.

I was helping move a big concrete planter one time and got a few fingers smashed. It hurt so bad I ACTUALLY passed out. I guess I don't cry, I just pass out when stuff hurts too bad.

I managed to put my fingernail back in place and its blue and purple but maybe I can salvage it who knows. Taped up with Scotch Tape!

Where do you go down there? I used to go a couple times a year when I still had a life. Guess those are just more fond memories.

well....I'm pretty sure that Mr. Sniffles has pneumonia, I'm going to the Doctor today......which is NOT NORMAL for me. I haven't been to one since I was forced to when I got hired on the railroad 6 years ago. I've had pneumonia 4 times in my life, after I collapsed my lung they told me I would always be an easy candidate for it. Guess I gotta go see the quack. I don't even have a doctor anymore in my hometown, mine retired when I was living in New Mexico, so I'm goin to my wifes office and having them check me out.

Lisa......a TRUE redneck would have used Duct tape......get with it!

Lisa, I'm not gonna take up bandwidth quoting you again, but honey the scotch tape trick ain't gonna work. I really did not think it was an invite. You'd kill me today, 30 years ago we could have had fun though. Course chit like that 30 years ago is why I am all alone today.

Collapsed lung? eeek. How'd you do that?

I haven't been to a regular dr. in...YEARS.

I couldn't find my duct tape. I even have camo duct tape for coolness factor. I started packing already so stuff is a bit..unorganized. Its working, keeping the nail on with enough pressure it stopped bleeding.

I guess I could have used electrical tape..but I liked the see through tape so I can gross out the girls here at work.

It's true I have the technology. However, if I can give you something to live for, then dammit, I've done my good deed for the day.

Considering the imagery that's been posted here lately, I'm a little concerned about *ME* being the last thing in your mind as you went to sleep.

That said, I admit to dropping more than one phone in the toilet. None of them were dropped while sitting -- more to do with them slipping off my belt when I undid it while standing. I actually fixed one of them -- the rest didn't make it.

JUST when I finally got that outta my head, you had to bring it back up out of the farthest reaches of the gray matter.

Yep. been to Germany more than once. I've also had real kimchi and like it. In fact, I eat it several times a week. Since Samsung is a Korean company, they always have Korean food in the cafeteria, and kimchi everyday.

Agreed. Not so sure on the adam's apple, but the lack of any top end volume does make me wonder.

Share the v-dub..of course you would, along with that donkey anatomy of yours.

I'm slow typing today guys. Tried to tear off one of my fingernails last night and it still hurts like a b*tch.

I have pretty good pain tolerance but its funny how something like a fingernail will bring you to your knees. I dang near passed out.
I'm curious (and anxious at the same time) to hear the refund story.

My last name is Italian, and means "Beautiful Island" in English.

I about ripped my left thumb nail off right after I got home. It IS funny how "little" things hurt so much. Kind of like laying your hand open on a piece of sharp metal doesnt hurt as much as a stinkin' paper cut.

LOL. Jeremy and Joe are both nice looking guys, don't get me wrong..but...

A laminated list is a famous person or otherwise, and if you get the chance to sleep with them, you are allowed, and you have permission from your significant other...from an old Friends episode.

I absolutely HATE it when sick people come to work. When I find out, I leave. Luckily, I can "go to the field" when I feel like getting out of the office. 95% of the time, if I'm in the office, I'm not working. You think you're doing your company a favor by coming in and "toughing it out", but all you're doing is getting everyone else sick. Now THEY have to slow down or take time off. Kind of like a germ pyramid scheme. LMAO!!!

Before I left my last company, I had 40 hours of "personal" time, 80 hours of "sick" time (that I normally used to stay home with my daughter when SHE was sick, then naturally I'd be sick a couple days later), and 5 weeks of vacation. So I admit I was a bit spoiled with off time. I hate it right now. I have two weeks a year.
