Great time shooting, woulda been better if I didn't have to wear 45 pounds of flak jacket.....

Wanted to thank you Lisa for the CD, great tunes indeed!!

P.S.- did you know that when you hit a hummingbird at 10 yds with a .20 pellet it's entire head can pop off??
Hangin out with a bunch of ex snipers, now that'd be a learning experience.

No problem Danny. Send me your address once you get to the sandbox, I can periodically send you goodies. Like Joe's John Holmes cigar.

I don't think I could nail a hummingbird, not that good of a shot, unless you have slower hummingbirds over there. Ours are Ruby throated and those suckers are too fast to even see sometimes. Interesting though. lol.

Of course I looked. I'm not THAT shy. I have no idea what time I got it, my phone doesn't tell me, and I had it set on silent last night by accident. I didnt see it until this morning. I gotta be honest I am disappointed there were no nekkids.

Damn Izzy, that was TOO friggin funny!! Only in the military LOL. That flak looks like the one I used to wear, but these new ones have front and rear SAPI plates, a flap covering the boys in front, an your lower spine in the rear, AND side SAPIs that cover from your belt to about 4" below your arm pit. THEN you stack M-4 mag pouches 2 deep and three wide to hold 6 mags, a radio pouch, 1st aid kit on left side, M9 on right (strong side) then on the belt your M9 holster, 4 15rd mags, and drop pouch for used mags. Don't forget to sling the M4 over your head and under your left arm. That has a surefire light, laser / IR unit, and RCO sight on it. Yeah you're really protected, but very immobile. I feel like a damn turtle / terminator combo LOL.

Lisa I only hit one (or rather aimed in on one) and it was sitting on a branch, and I had a cheap $6 Tasco scope from Wally World mounted on it. I can hit a 2 liter bottle at 10 pumps out to about 100 yards which I think is good for a pellet gun.

On the beach in Santa Cruz years ago I blew a Seagull out of the sky (he was way up) with a 30/30 lever action. I don't know who was more surprised, me or the Seagull. My step-dad once did the same thing to a Hummingbird with a BB gun. I am sure both incidents were flukes, but something you remember for your entire life. I'd better edit this while I still have the chance. When I said Santa Cruz and firing a high powered rifle, I damn sure was not talking about the Santa Cruz pier area. I could not tell you exactly where it was because it was more than 30 years ago. But there is or was nothing around at the time. I want to say it was near Capitola, where that broken up concrete ship is or used to be.

I was standing on my deck about 9 am this morning drinking my coffee...

a hummingbird flew up in front of my face and studied me from 4 different angles...

I turned my head a little to see it better and ZOOM it was gone!

I have a hummingbird feeder on my deck...it must have been heading there.

I have a Crossman 1077 semi auto pellet gun in .177 caliber it uses those little 12gram Co2 cartriges for propellant that gun is nice and affordable too I think I spent $60 on the gun it is accurate and deadly. It will kill pidgeons at 20yds no problems. Here's what it looks like and some specs..:: Crosman: RepeatAir® 1077 ::.

I've popped crows on top of light poles, and damn those things are tough- but after about 2-3 flaps of their wings, they just kinda fall outta the sky. Hell one time we had an opposum problem where the SOB would **** off the neighbors dogs (on my right) while going to the neighbor on the left to eat the cat food he left out. I finally got tired of being woken up every day at friggin 1 am, so one night I heard the dogs barking early, so I ran out with my 3-cell mag light , found him and spot lighted his ***. I left the flash light on the fence and got my .20 cal. He was still there when I got back, so I put the cross hairs in between his eyes, and pulled the trigger (from about 20 feet away). Well, I thought I missed because he just stayed there. I was pissed that I missed him from such short distance, when he kinda slow motion rolled ot the left and off the fence. I drove around the other side and pulled him outta the bushes, and smiled at the nice little red dot in between his eyes hehe....

Back in high school we would skip the afternoons on friday and go out drinking some beers and shooting our 22's out in a gravel pit. I got the bright idea that a buddy would throw the bottle in the air and I would shoot them. I shot about 80 percent of them out of the air, single shot cooey 22, open sights.
