I got a nextel and it has it pros and cons...one of the cons being texting it SLOW. Julia hates it, she texts nonstop. Verizon has that waterproof phone out now thats pretty cool.
EDIT: I emailed it to myself and still havent gotten it yet so its most likey not your phone.. you will wake up in the middle of the night, see the pic and wont be able to go back to bed..
Yeah. Randy has Verizon's version of the Iphone and it's pretty neat.
The phone I have is an old Samsung. Its been a good phone for the past 4 years but its about ready to give up the ghost.
And T-mobile sucks ***. I am not happy with them at all. I am not on contract anymore and I called them up the other day just to make sure they knew they sucked and that a good customer was walking away.
So...what kinda picture is this? The only pic that would keep me from sleeping would be a nekkid.
I have Verizon..its time for a new phone...looking at the LG Dare...although I am wondering whats gonna happen with the merger...
I am also looking at the waterproof Olympus stylus 1030...waterproof to 33 feet, shockproof, freezeproof, 10 megapixels 3.6x wide angle zoom
Wow thats pretty cool. Maybe I'll take Randy's phone and we should get him one of those Olympus phones. That man goes through more phones than any person I've ever seen. They succumb to ice, puddles, seatbelts, and get run over by coal cars... actually we almost didn't go on our first date because he broke his phone and lost my phone number.
merger, what merger? I haven't heard anything about that.
The only trick or treaters out now are the 18-year-old *****heads who need to go out and get a job and buy their own d@mn candy.
My phone sucks too. I'm excited to get rid of T-mobile and get a cool new phone when I get Verizon.

Verizon is the bomb! Been there done that with Nextel, had ATT before that, and they sucked azz too.
I average about 2500 minutes a month on just my phone (buisness), and Nextel could not ever bill me correctly. I had the unlimited, pay one price and talk as meuch as you need with no roaming and no LD, but they triedx to charge me for roaming every month. I used to have to spend at least an hour on the phone with customer service every month just to get my bill straight. the straw that broke my back was when a CS agent told he didnt think there was any pleasing me. I said "sure there is just let me out of my contract, and Ill go get another service and be pleased" he said fine your released, and you have 48 hrs before your number goes inactive. went to the verizon store(it was the closest to my house) and have been very pleased with them for the past year. everything friggin works, there customer web site is easy follow, and if you want a new app or ringtone, just connect your mobile web, and its there. Oh and they are cheaper than what nextel was charging me, and I get more features.

You know I've had T mobile for years without any problems, only in the past few months have I started having issues. I got a bill for $230 the other day yeah, they are usually $54... anyways apparently I went over my text limit and they charged me an outrageous .40 per text after I went over my quota. Ontop of that, I have been having terrible service issues. I go into someone's house and suddenly I have no service.

sorry, went off on a tangent...the olympus is just a camera, no phone

If you switch to Verizon, lemme know.... I'm actually one of the guys that goes out there testing phones on their NW.
You probably won't believe this, but I'm carrying the Verizon iPhone too. But this one isn't out yet.
Here's a pic:
For some reason, it doesn't like a link to cNet. Go figger...
I knew Olympus made cameras, just figured they got into the phone biz.
As you can tell, I am behind on all this stuff. Give me any kind of gadget and I'll have it mastered pretty quickly though. I just can't keep up with what is new and cool and I don't have the money to throw at every small leap in technology. I have a friend who camps out at the Apple store every time they come out with a new IPhone.

US Cellular has pretty good service over most parts of Iowa.... Nextel is spotty when off the I80/I380 corridors and Verizon used to have its moments as well. I am pretty happy with us cellular... and my cousin drives for the state DOT and thinks US Cellular is the best overall if that counts for anything. Sprint is worse than nextel.... no service off the main corridors.

EDIT: STUPID FORUM...
I'll get it here -- hold on...
I like Samsung phones...but I got excited there for a second and thought Verizon was going to start carrying the iphone. I'd love to have one, easy sync with my ibook, but I don't want AT&T service.
How do you get a gig like that Joe? I'm a nerd, you think I'd be qualified?
best is my Dslr Evolt E-500 I have 4 lenses for it...14-45mm, 45-150mm, 70-300 mm and a wide angle adapter...need the 18-180mm lens for ability to take close ups and group pics

LOL... No, it's ours. And it runs Window$ Mobile 6.1 Pro. This is actually funny -- it's so easy to sync, I did it accidentally. I was just trying to sync my phonebook to it over USB, but when I did, it blew all the settings in so it would sync wirelessly. I went in later to set it up, and it was already there, so I just enabled the sync, and it was done. LMAO... I have my Yahoo! personal email on it, my Samsung biz email, and IM (AOL, Yahoo!, and Windows Messenger). It will support VZ Navigator with its built in GPS, but it's not working right now. I miss that from my previous phone...
I've been in cellular since 1993 when I started working for Nokia after getting off active duty. So basically, besides military communications, this is the only thing I've ever done. And you definitely have to be a geek, so you have that covered I guess, but you also have to know the various standards used for the two major types of radio links (GSM & CDMA). How are ya' on that??
