Other's I've been to are Cancun, Mazatlan, Daytona Beach, Monterey, St. Padre Isaland, Panama City Beach, and somewhere in San Diego. Cancun is ok, but a little too touristy for me. Mazatlan was much more of a true visit to Mexico, but I went on a spring break and I'm not sure it would be that much fun to just visit for a normal vacation. Padre was very similar to Mazatlan, but you're just not in Mexico. Daytona was cool, but I'm such a racing fan that I also found other things to do besides the beach there. Monterey's beach wasn't all that great, but I don't think that's what they're known for...same thing with San Diego.
If you ever get back down to Daytona let me know, Its about an hr from where I live in Fl and Ive been wanting to go.
The best beach Ive ever been to was in Bermuda, water was warm and cystal clear. The sand was actually pink too, It was kinda cool.
Thanks, Lisa... she's the one on the far left, right behind the 12yo redhead! What was really fun years ago was when I would go out to dinner with my wife, her sister, and their mom, and we would try to make the waiter/waitress guess which one was my wife, and they normally chose my mother-in-law who is only 15 years older than I am anyway! Wife is two years younger than me.
Brendan... you're cracking me up, but I understand. It's all cool. And I haven't meade nearly enough trips there, for sure!!
Lisa, when you see them all in person, it turns out the the oldest boy (between me and oldest daughter in back row) and the 12yo next to my wife are the two that really resemble my side of the family, but they ALL got her sides big eyes. Wait... no... the little 8yo girl up front really looks a lot like my grandmother, too.
We've actually only made it over to that little treasure spot once. We were planning another trip this past May, but that's when my wife's grandmother passed away, so we're hoping to catch the plane over there again next spring. It's a full day drive down and back, each way, and due to weather variability, we have to have an extra two days on each end of the planned travel window, so I have to take a good week-and-a-half off to go over there just to get about 5-6 days in LALA-land, and I only get 3 weeks/year to begin with.
The funny thing is that when I met and married my wife, her folks were not nearly that wel off, but their businesses have done really well. Her folks spend about a 20% of their time over there.
When I first got there last spring, it took about two days to get into teh groove of doing absolutely nothing.... and then it was really, REALLY hard to stop - doing nothing, that is! I disconnected so much that when I got home I had forgotten the name of the road I take every day to get to the office!

Yeah, I was gonna ask where that red hair came from! Whoa! No doubt at least one of my kids will have red hair (well, depending on how many I have). The wild red hair gene runs strong in my family...as do the big eyes like your wife's side.
I envy all of you and your awesome vacations! Shesh!
Some beautiful pictures. I kinda want to see more.
Cabots 3000 is what Mark recommended. I have not seen either Penofin or Sikkens in this market. I know the Sikkens name just have not seen it on the shelf anywhere.
