I grew up 150mi from the Atlantic, so we went to the MD shore & Jersey shore a bunch. I've been to Spain and the beach wasn't bad, but the eye-candy was INCREDIBLE!!
I'm not fluent but 'highly functional' in Spanish, so I got away from the touristy spots and really partied with the Spaniards. OH, and before you translate that to "got stupid-@$$ drunk, embarassed myself, puked, and don't remember much" what it really means is that we danced most of the night, had a few drinks, talked, joked, laughed continuously, and made good friends that I visit every few years.
Lisa - DEFINITELY have Spain on your list. The people I met were so generous & friendly... I almost didn't come back.
I haven't seen near as many beaches as some of you have, one day I will though. So far I have been to San Diego area, Cabo, Maui, Rocky Point on Vacations. On our cruise we just saw St. Thomas, Dominica, Barbados, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, and Antigua. St. Thomas, Cabo and Maui have to be my favorite beaches so far. I would love to go back to Hawaii one day. I would have to say my favorite vacation up to this point has been Alaska, nothing like seeing a bald eagle dive down and try to steal your fish as you are realing it in or having whale swim along side your boat.
Cris, you ever been to the Mesa Market? My wife wants to bring me there.
I don't think I have ever heard of Mesa Market, I had to google it. I am a crappy Az native, I have never seen the Grand Canyon, London Bridge, Tombstone and all the other cool stuff this state has to offer.
That little statue is in a public park in Malaga, Andalucia, Spain...

You've never been to the Grand Canyon???? You LIVE there!!! What about Havasu Falls?
I don't know much about many of the well-known tourist beaches in the Bahamas, but my inlaws have a house on the water on Great Harbor Cay in the Berry Islands.... A rather private island with NO tourists, NO stores, NO restaraunts, NO parks, NOTHING TO DO.... except relax and enjoy the same kinds of powdery sands and crystal clear waters.
We are mostly guilty of that Cris. I have seen the Grand Canyon, Lake Havasu (London Bridge) and Sedona all twice. LOL. Last year we went to Kingman to feed the "wild" donkeys. Long drive from Sun City. We are looking for somewhere else to try this year that neither of us has been to. No not the market, that is just a side trip.

We all know you're a real nice guy and all... but right now I hate you just a little.... LOL. Sweet vacation spot. You've got 6 kids.... how many trips have you made down to that little island "with nothing to do"?
Man all these tropical pictures are killing me you guys! I'm not going until next April or May....headed back to the Caribbean. I've been to Belize, Cozumel, Costa Maya, Bahama's, and Key West. Can't wait to get back down there!!!!!
Your not kidding there, it was like being at the mall here, only everyone was tan. I think maybe the BVI's next time.
If you've got the chance, the Virgin Islands are awesome. I've been through them twice on a couple different cruises, and would very much like to take a full week's vacation to just spend some time there. It felt like Mexico in the sense that everything is just very laid back and relaxed, but seemed to be quite a bit cleaner than Mexico.
I've been very lucky and fortunate to have been able to travel as much as I have. My parents love to travel, and when I was younger they would always take me along. With me being the only kid around, it didn't cost them much more to take me along. I've seen some very cool things and been to some awesome places, but there are always more on my list. Hawaii, Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, and Australia are at the top of my list of places I still want to see.
Jeremy....let me know when you're ready to do the Grand Canyon, unlike Cris......I am a "seasoned native" I live just over an hour away from the big hole, and I've been there.........30 times maybe? lol Born and raised in AZ
You've never been to the Grand Canyon???? You LIVE there!!! What about Havasu Falls?
Nope, I know I suck....

How about the Payson/Show Low area or a trip to Yuma and cross into Mexico for a beer and some shopping?
