I don`t get BJ on farmer vision so instead I`m heading to our largest local indoor annual car show, it`s on Easter Friday and Sat.
Also I have to give my 69 F100 Ranger some more attention this weekend, I want to get it back on the road before I get too busy this summer.
Is there a Nascar race on this weekend?
Rain, Hail, Thunder, and a happy Easter to everyone!!!
My Ecoboost is a very interesting truck. Wednesday night I drove to Saskatoon for a ICF course on thursday. I set cruise both there and back @ 130 km/h, passed everyone on the road in my lane, and generally drove like a bat out of hell. (reason being that I've made that drive way too many times in the past couple months and I despise it). The truck performs flawlessly, loves being thrashed from time to time, giggles as it bounces off the speed limiter, getting there quickly on a regular basis.
20.1 mpg both ways, hand calculated, filled up the same way each time. Only difference between the 2 tankfulls of fuel was the one on the way up had some city driving on it, the one on the way back was strictly highway but I was doing more passing...
All in all, I think the projected 30mpg might be obtainable if one was to drive gently...
How was the icf course? I have been pondering taking an icf course myself a few times. Seems like setting up icf basements is a pretty good rage and has been for the past few years, and Ive thought about doing that for a side gig.
You could get some more solid springs and your f100 would be able to manage a cummins!
Or even better, a 4bt cummins, do a little work to it, and you can get like 350 horse!
That would be sweet in a ol f100!
If anything I`d rather lighten my F100 up, not make it heavier.
Better still, since I don`t have a cummins laying around, for the about the same money to buy everything from scratch I could have a nice SBF crate engine. They start at 350 hp and go way up from there, depending on how much $$`s you want to spend, alot less weight/mass and no black diesel oil leaks or strange vibration.
Hi Gerry, it`s a sad day here as my pup is very sick and the vet strongly suspects anti-freeze poisoning from the symptoms. If she doesn`t improve by morning we`ll have to have her put down.
Likely I won`t be on here for a abit.
