No topic thread,,, Part 2
It`s sunny, windy and 6°C/43°F so it`s about the same as in Manitoba and your 72°F sounds pretty nice Dennis.
What are you up to today Gerry?
I`m cleaning up my yard and getting my shop sorted out, it`s been a long winter.
Warren im kinda surprised you never got into bikes either. The power and speed of some of them are truely amazing.
I rode my first bike when i was very very young, a suzuki dr80 and it was way to big for me, and I was hooked ever since. I love all bikes, from off road to the streets, and if I had my way i would have one of every kind of bike! Kinda funny too, my RM250 gets used the least, and I love that kind of riding. Thats where Ive sure come to love the enduro riding, gives ya a little taste of on, and a little taste of off road.
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
Others during that day weren't so lucky. There would have been lots of car accidents yesterday in North America, likely a few were fatal, someone died in their sleep for sure, a pedestrian got tagged and will no longer be "it", due to some occupational hazards, some people won't be making it to next xmas dinner except through conversation, and then someone had an allergic reaction to something in their supper and that was curtains for them.
Ok, sorry about the book, but in conclusion, LIFE is dangerours. Don't show some gory pictures about motorcycle accidents because "motorcycles are dangerous". Bull Effing Shiznit!!!!! Idiots are dangerous. Show me a few gory pictures of motorcycle accidents and I'll show you a million 4 wheel vehicle accidents...
If you don't like the feeling, sit in the corner and be that person that just don't enjoy motorcycling. Don't be that whining ninny that is trying to have the entire world outlaw bikes because of some percieved danger. Or...go ahead. Outlaw motorcycles... I'm going to outlaw french fries and ice cream...
Rant Off.
Sheldon, you mentioned a 883 sportster having 65hp? Try closer to 45
My Road King had 65-ish, and let me tell you, with it being a 900# beast wet, add 500+ lbs of me, my wife, and one week of overpacked gear, and 65hp isn't near 1/2 of what you need to move that carcass through BC. Your bike will be a hoot with its power to weight ratio, plus very agile. My next bike experience will be back to a Hayabusa or ZX14 unless I can find a Kawasaki Concours 14 or BMW sport touring within my budget. That being said, there's something about the Suzuki V-strom's, Kawasaki Versys 1000, and BMW R1200GSA that really have been appealing to me lately.
Sherm, sorry if I offended you with those pictures. I'm not a "bike's are dangerous" lobbiest, bikes are like gun's, it's the guy pulling the trigger that can be dangerous. (I don't hate gun's either)
Did you find any coins Gerry?

I just went for a short ride keeping both eyes open, I live on a fairly quite stretch of pavement which helps alot.
