There ya go Jack, Sherwins experienced witht his kinda thing!
The guy that does the repairs on the houses that came out here, he has all kinds of ideas to, to prevent cracking, and to strengthen everything up, but it seems rtm builders just care about the initial cost. Oh well
To me (and keep in mind im not a carpenter) it seems relatively simple how one could drastically decrease the damage cause during a move. Too bad that most rtm builders cant.
an even better idea than my previous one would be to build the home on beams that the mover could just slide the wheels under and move it without having to pick it up. that way the only real stress would be sliding it unto the basement walls...

Yeah thats one idea this fella out here had too. The one problem with that, those moving beams are really expensive to have sitting aorund for 3-6 months. But it is a good idea!
Been getting any more chances to rip around on the bike?

its only expensive once. the profit that builders are making on homes, it'd only take a couple to pay for a few beams...
hoping to get out tonight for some cruising... my wife did her road test yesterday and aced it. her examiner told her that she was by far the best lady rider she's ever tested... one "atta-girl" for her!!!

thanks Dave, i did. just got back. went about 160k, supper stop, then some bike swapping on the tour home. rode a 2008 harley davidson V-rod with the 1250cc V-twin engine built by porche. man, that engine is a work of art. the rest of the bike is...well...a harley, so it doesn't impress me much. the engine, however is definately a masterpiece.
after riding them all, my F-I-L rates them like this... my 2009 Bandit #1, my wifes 2007 Ninja 250 #2, the 2008 V-rod #3, and the 1984 Goldwing #4....
hope everyone else had just as an enjoyable evening as i did!!!
