i did some last year that my neighbors love. and i think i have half a jar left. they are kind of spicy but not too bad. i can't have all that spicy stuff either.
i use white vinager in mine. you can use what ever you want really.
you have to make it like a dill pickle brine. almost.
i don't have an exact recipe for that, i just kind of make it by taste. it really depends on how you want the brine to taste like. what i do is let the brine sit in the refridgerator over night that way it has a chance for the spices to mingle with the vinager then put your peppers in and top it with vinager and put it back in the fridge. the longer it sits the better. when we used to pickle and canning it was allways in the winter or fall. so they had all winter to sit. and we used mason jars with the 2 pc lids.
i had an insurance adjuster come look at my boat today. in my preperations i noticed some damage to my transom. i know when it was, comming back from one of my last trips the road was really rough and the boat was bouncing around quite a bit... so far i'm not having any luck getting someone to fix it... perhaps a new boat is in the wind...
