it was a hot muggy one down here too. we worked outside for the day changing some windows. it was an ok day for it. today is supposed to be similar i think.
I got a bike yesterday, 1984 yamaha 600 xt. Needs some work but I got it for pretty cheap. Kinda wish I woulda bought one that doesnt need work now though, cause I wanna ride it!
i'll likely be buying new. i hate buying other people's crap and ending up with more problems than a unit is worth. i occasionally have bought used, but only if its a smoking deal where i can afford to put some into it and still come out on top.
I have never heard what the xts were like. I always wanted a honda like Morris's but a little larger, and this one ended up being pretty cheap, as long as I dont have to throw a whole pile of cash into it!
Has good compression, but the guy said the carb has some oil coming out of the back of it...?
Poor timing? bad valve...? Im not too sure, I have never worked on four strokes before.
I went and looked at a new kawasaki and suzuki enduro the other day, and they were 7 grand a piece. Thats too much for me to spend on something I wanna ride on the road occasionally, and around the country alot!
its not terrible... turns out the bandit i drove will be sold to a previous interest. it retails for 11499,00... demo sale was 8999.00... nice savings, but its got 70 kms on it, and only 10 months warranty remaining.
the one i'm getting is a little more loaded up now, with fairing, tripple factory hard bags, and a touring windshield... retail is 12999.00, they've worked it out to 10399.00 before taxes... its a smoking deal really...
hi guys,
i'm still on jury duty. and its not over yet! man this is mentally draining. hey atleast i have free parking. and at 5$ a day gets spendy. plus i have to spend for gas to drive
down there everyday!
i want to get some work done on those cars i have to fix! and not this!
That Bandit, almost looks like a cross between a crotch rocket and an older bike eh? What kinda bike is that anyways?
in naked style without any fairing, its considered a standard motorcycle. with the fairings, bags, and taller windshield, its a sport-touring motorcycle. i drove a harley that my wifes aunt owns. they're an ok bike, but not really suited for the type of riding i want to do. relatively slow, uncomfortable (unless you're into a 30g glider), and they come with too much of an attitude/lifestyle for me.
