Easy on those cats Jack, don`t want to give them a heart attack!
I`ve got the Yam and just bought a 1978 350 XL Honda that`s an oldie and it`s totally mint!
hi all,
i got that mercedes to start and run yesterday. the car sat for 8 years. i had to drain the tank and put fresh diesel fuel in it. changed the filters, and it fired right up.
when i drained the tank there was no mold or slime in the tank so i just blow the lines out and started over.
i love your thinking Warren. unfortunately in a town populated 99% with ukranians, there's not much chance of getting more for less... no offense to the ukranians amongst us, but they're the biggest nationality of tightwads that ever existed!!!
we just got back from regina. i bought my wife a 2007 kawasaki ninja 250. I drove it back from the city, and its quite a bit more bike than i'd anticipated.
Just building fence (about 5 miles > some 2 wire electric and some 4 wire barb). Also baling hay and cutting grass in the yard. Got new siding on house and garage. Keeping my brute of a male German shepherd apart from my pretty female German shepherd, who is in heat. I didnt want to breed her this cycle >> she needs a break!
then >> get the harvest toys ready!
howdy all,
i'm not really big on the work speed either. i once told my boss onetime, what do you want quality or quanity, and he said both. i said your not going to get it.. i've always been really big on quality. that way your not repeating the job a second time. specially if your self employed. it just makes you look bad. like for instance that MB i was working on took me 5 hours to get the car to run and drive. i had change the fuel filters and drain the tank check the inside of the tank for slime and blow the fuel lines out heading to the engine and put it back together with fresh fuel and battery and go for broke. and it started and ran under its own power. now i have lights to fix, change the oil,fix a fuel return leak, and whatever else the darn thing needs to put it back on the road. and clean it up. pine needles, grrrrr!!!!!
hi morris and guys,
it took alittle bit of fooling around with but i got it nailed. yeah the guy that owns them was pretty stoked about it too. it acted like it wanted to fire off but the quality of the old fuel just wasn't there. and instead of being green fuel it was yellow. the car sat for 8 years. and i really didn't want to waste alot of money on the car at first to get it to run.
its not a bad looking car either. and runs good and the tranny didn't want to shift at first but after running it,it finally started working which is good. i even got the parts car to fire off and run and half the engine is missing. but it runs! he has about 80$ tide up in it 30$ for parts and 50$ for my time. and i got a 100$ bonus out of the deal, that puts my take home at 300$ for the week. not too bad. i'm used to getting more than that a week but i'll get there.. just wait and see. and i also got my insurance on my shadow for free! he also has a 99 chevy van that the fuel pump is bad in thats the next rig on my list to make run. after the MB is done.
