Thankfully no wind today, but I heard the Ground Hog saw his shadow. Hope he is wrong.

We've got 1 more day that makes it into the single digit but then it's heading to a high of -17 for the weekend. Had to go downtown to do the not guilty in front of the JP and get to go to bylaw court in April.
I've got the excercise program to follow plus it gets expensive running the trucks so I only use them when I need to. With parking and fuel it would have cost $40 to go downtown and back, cost me $3.25 for the bus and on the way back I picked up a 24" tv for my cameras, weighs about 5lbs. Built a shelf for it and closed off the openings behind the bookcases so now all my wiring is hidden, will stain it all tomorrow and clear coat it after supper.

cold here too, I`m finally getting used to it.
What`s this JP business about Perry?
Bobcat is off to the hospital, sprang another hydraulic oil leak.
Finally was able to get my truck washed with only a half hr wait this morning, since the cold hit all the car washes have been lined up pretty good. It was pretty gross plastered with road salt and sand.

I see you drive one of those snowball trucks, give Sigurd a hard time about his. Hope the bobcat doesn't cost to much to get out, for the cost of opening it up you may as well get them to go through the whole thing and make it worth while.
This date with the JP was over tickets on the trucks being parked in front of my house, If I park them anywhere where they're not in sight my tires get slashed, windows smashed, and the lock on my hood gets cut and water and sand gets poured down my carb. It gets done by Wayne Cater under order from Luigi Loria because they're getting even with me for ripping me off. They do this type of crap to anyone who's handicapped, crippled, seniors and the terminally ill. All our Police do is get in my face and yell "they're your friends repeatedly, tell me that I should be grateful for everything they've done for me, tell me they fixed the trucks, equipment for me not wreck them and tell me to move as nobody in the hood wants me here". Theres victims all over this area that go through this also. This month end we have our first meeting and will be doing intros and star putting together a program to end this. It's a Calgary mentality problem as there is a % of people who hate anyone who isn't perfectly healthy but they sure love the drunks and drug addicts.
"Children in wheelchairs bring down the property values", Varsity Heights resident statement towards a school for the handicapped proposal, school didn't get built.

Went to the mall to get some tings done before the weather changed, good thing as it was nice going in and crappy coming out, only 5 days of this and then it changes. Would appear I wasn't the only following this program as the place was packed.

I love my snowball truck, for some reason the last 5 yrs I`m into white Ford trucks...weird but it works for me!
It`ll be what it costs for the Bobcat repair, I don`t want to mess with all the messy hydraulic oil all over in the repair area. If it was summer I`ll pressure wash it having a close look before sending it to the dealer.
Sounds like a rough neighbourhood! Any chance of setting up a neighbour watch or are you on that?
The weather is getting colder soon then in a week or so it`s supposed to moderate.

Its actually a lot nicer a neighborhood than people think, its just a few pieces of garbage causing the problems. Pretend contractors like to hire drunks and junkies so that they can pay them next to nothing under the table and have friends to hang out with and access to prostitutes, they move them into a place in the area and we have to deal with the trash. The contractors live off their wives in the suburbs but need a place to slum it. We have a squad of cops that we call the junkie squad and the criminal protection service. As long as the junkies don't kill each other they can go years without making an arrest, all they do is help prey on the legit resident until they move out. There are some real cops but they know they can't do much thanks to the junkie squad. This next few months the program will get changed around and there will be changes around here. The press is more concerned with the traffic flow created by the new Popeyes restaurant than what we're going through as that is a human interest story and we're not. We'll get the free newspaper on our side and will start a watch program, I'll get arrested putting an end to the Luigi and Wayne situation and start a Youtube program and go very public with this and 15 months from now it'll all be over and done with and hopefully I'll get some of what this has cost me back.
Just finished staining the new shelf boards and will clearcoat them in the morning and on Sunday put it all back together. Going to use this cold spell to rearrange the house and get it ready for traffic flow, looking for a demo deal on kitchen cabinets as it would be nice to have a kitchen that I like and not this one.
5 more days of cold here, ground hog never mentioned that.

Good to hear that it`s actually a nice neighborhood, too bad about the few that spoil it and hopefully it gets cleaned up.
At least another 10 days of cold, then -1.

Demo deals can be a real gem. There is a contractor in town that has a real nose for that stuff. He has saved thousands of dollars for his customers.

This kitchen of mine looks like crap so basically anything would be an improvement, but then again I'm a bit of a snob. Counter tops are pretty cheap in all reality but it's the cabinets that are an automatic $100 a foot starting price, so by the time you measure your lowers and uppers you get a minimum 32' at $150 a foot, 32' is a small kitchen. I dont like the way these were installed and most of the work done in here was mickey moused, the guy actually tiled over the sewer main access cap. Had to cut out a hole in my tiles and make an access panel so that I could run a snake through the sewer line 5 years ago. Good thing I have diamond tipped saw blades, but it still made a mess through out the suite.
Put a clear coat on my shelf fillers to seal them and will recoat them tonight so that I can 400 grit sand them tomorrow morning. Did the first round of shoveling and am about to do the last round, -14 but no wind.
Ttyl guys when I'm back to do my kijiji hunt. Have a good day

I am always surprised on how cheaply the ones in the box store are made. I took the cupboards out of my old house and put them in my garage. I put a double layer of 3/4" plywood on top and have been pounding on them for the last 15 years and are still holding up.

I did my kijiji search and theres a few older sets with wood boxes around, the nice thing is that they are cheap as most people was MDF, pressboard. Trim and doors are easy to match up so I think I'll pick up a couple of sets and match them up. The better this place looks and the better the function the more the bank will like it when the landlord finances his garage.
After this its windows, thanks to the Government grants/ rebates that are available.

Don`t look now Perry ....but this is coming your way, ''About 15 to 25 centimeters of snow is expected to fall over the weekend, according to Environment Canada''.

I have had old kitchen cupboard in my shop for years and they`ve stood up well too.

Is that an Alberta gov`t or a Canadian gov`t program?
Good evening John.
